Vanessa clearly states she wants James gone, even after Austin keeps pushing to put Jeff up.

She only said that after she realized that there would be less blood on her hands if the nominations stayed the same. But when her and Austin won duel HoHs, she clearly stated that either James or Jeff had to go. She also stated that she personally didn't like James more, but strategically Jeff was more dangerous since he was trying to play with the whole house. And it was her that kept saying that they needed to give her a reason to put Jeff up so that she wouldn't get more blood on her hands. That wasn't Audrey, that was Vanessa because she started getting paranoid (as usually for her). Audrey just happened to stay up there all week fueling her paranoia.

quote:

Austin gets Jeff to say "we need Shelli gone."

Austin didn't get Jeff to say it. Jeff himself was saying that to Austin, James, and someone else (maybe Johnny or Jason) in the pantry when Day was still on the block. Jeff then proceeded to tell Vanessa and Austin that again after they won duel HoH when Vanessa asked what happened to the meeting he was going to pull her into. But Jeff had been planting the seeds of breaking up Clay and Shelli two or three weeks ago because he wanted the final 2 deal that they struck on day 1 or 2 to hold, and knew it wouldn't as long as Shelli was around.

quote:

is there any doubt that Jeff is leaving because he was too close to Liz and Austin wants him gone? Austin has said that "Steve is next" because he won't stay away from Liz.

Austin is definitely a jealous friend-zoned idiot, and that is one of the major issues he has with Jeff. But make no mistake, Jeff told everyone in his group (including Clay) that Austin needed to go before jury (I believe for the same exact reason, he wanted Liz to himself in the house and/or in jury). Jeff's order was Audrey this week, Austin the next week, and Steve the following week. And he made that abundantly clear to his group.

quote:

As big a pain in the arse that Vanessa is about having her alliances support, her alliance has ran wild this entire week. She has had little control.

I agree with this. Not only that, but she is being a hypocrite for bitching about allegiances since she has basically gone behind Clay and Shelli to form Freeks & Geeks. Their whole alliance is a house made of cards at this point, which is such a shame because of the position they were in before Vanessa got full HoH.

What I can gather is that Jeff was going after Austin, not Vanessa. Jeff was talking to Liz in the same time when Austin was working to seal a showmance with Liz.

Vanessa is doing Austin's dirty work by getting out Jeff. But I do see that she would have been doing the other side's dirty work by taking out Audrey. I'm not blown away by Jeff. He hasn't won comps, he doesn't know what's going on in the house, and he allowed Clay and Shelli to do him in by trusting them too much.

I pray for a good HOH duo tonight. Those 15 minutes at the end of the show will determine the entire week. I hate BOB, but it does make for good TV.

And what's funny is that Liz actually likes flirting and cuddling with Jeff a whole lot more than with Austin. Jeff screwed the pooch when he went all out to try and figure out if Liz was a twin, which ended up helping push Liz to Vanessa.

You and me both. I would give anything to see Jackie and Jason or Meg get duel HoH this week. The paranoia that it would cause Vanessa and Austin would be comedic gold, especially with Audrey fanning the flames. Hell, I probably won't get any sleep next week if that happens.

Why in the hell do people want james gone? He doesn't seem like he's made any power moves at all.

Also, I know yall said earlier you can bring in your own tobacco when you enter the house, can you bring snacks in as well? My ultimate question is, would it be possible to get weed brownies in.

I'm greedy, and Vanessa's meltdown tonight would be GOAT.

You can only get snacks in your HOH basket.

I am convinced production does allow them to smoke. No way you can take a stoner who smokes daily and remove weed from their life and expect them to operate on the same level.

Because he was always cracking perv jokes all of the time, and the girls didn't like it. James and Jeff actually got into trouble during the "pod cast" where they were interrogating Julia because of the stuff they were saying in it. That is why the next "pod cast" they let the women do it (Becky and Shelli). He has slacked way up on it since he got put up on the block.

But he never meant anything by it, just joking around like he would with the boys. But Vanessa, Becky, Shelli, and Julia (Liz was instigating it the week prior when she was telling her sex stories) didn't take too kindly to it though.

If people are wanting to evict someone based on off color jokes and not because of gameplay and strategy, this house is frickin stupid.

They weren't, it was just the reason Vanessa said that she doesn't like James more personally than Jeff, but Jeff leaving is better for their game. They wanted either Jeff or James gone to weaken the other side of the house, plain and simple.

ETA: The funny thing is, is that after James realized that he was staying on the block and went up to talk to Vanessa, and Vanessa confronted him about lying to her about the Jace eviction and he apologized, she all of a sudden he was saying he is a stand up man and she respected the hell out of him.

Well it's pretty early in the game (only 2 evictions so far). Getting HoH is great because it provides you safety for the week and also helps build alliances. But, the downside is you will get blood on your hands and piss people off with your nominations. Putting someone up who makes racist/sexist jokes gives you a good excuse at the nomination ceremony.

I don't know much about this game, but winning HoH early isn't necessarily the best thing for you because you create enemies with your nominations or the friends of the evicted houseguest.

Agreed. I hope the game blows up in her face. I respect how she's flipped the game somewhat, but hiding behind Aubrey is a cowardly move. Aubrey is gonna ride the PC train all the way to the bank.

I so hope that Meg, Jason, James, or even John gets HOH. I can see Clay/Shelli flip back to them and show everyone how flaky they are. I am so disappointed in Clay, he needs to detach himself from Shelli's crazy arse.

Yep, that is why it was a major part of the strategy of two of the best players in BB history (Dr. Will and Derrick) to not try and win any HoHs until the end of the season.

Is there anyone in the house right now that could be one of the top 10 HG to ever play by the end of this season?

I don't think any of them are really that good. I used to think Vanessa, but she seems to paranoid. We don't know with Clay because he's got Shelli to screw with his head. Jason has played a good game so far IMO, but I'm not sure how he will react when his head is on the chopping block. Steve is smart and really knows the game, but his social game is laughable.

Yeah, if you would've asked me last week I would've definitely said Vanessa. She is an excellent strategist, and she proved that by everything that she accomplished last week. Even her plan she came up with to get Jeff out before the BoB all came to fruition. But while it eventually did come to fruition, she swayed back and forth about it, and started second guessing what she should do, and started over thinking it all way too much. Her paranoia is going to get the best of her eventually. When I saw that she was as serious as a heart attack about Clay being a twin, I knew she was losing it. Now if she can get a grip now that she is out of the HoH room, maybe she'll go back to playing like she did last week...but I doubt she does.

I don't see anyone else in the house being anywhere close to a top 10 HG from a game standpoint. Johnny Mac will probably be a 10 fan favorite HG. But like Donny last year, he really doesn't stand much of a chance to win the game.

I would lose my shite if Johnny Mac makes it to the end and in his closing speech starts talking like a normal human being saying I always was told I could do a great Bobcat impression. Then proceeds to tell jury how he manipulaed the entire season. Would be even better if they played some music from the end of Saw while he is explaining everything.

In reality, he is probably just a weird guy

Vanessa became a much stronger player when she found out about the twins. I didn't notice her much before then. That twist changed her game. Winning HOH was big for her. I still don't view getting Jeff out as a huge game move. He is from their side, but after finishing last night's episode it was clear to me that he was letting his game be controlled by what others were saying. He took the bait.

Maybe she will hold this alliance together. Time will tell.

Also, has Audrey's comment about production last night been discussed? She came from DR to HOH and told Vanessa and Shelli that production was grilling her hard and she knew were the story line was heading. No idea what it means, but you guys know how production runs this game.

I don't know if anyone would have said Derrick or Dan was a top 10 player in the house at this point in their seasons either, though. Dan pretty much stayed quiet the entire first third or so of his season. Derrick was just coming off a successful HOH reign getting Devin out; but he was not yet the master manipulator he became. Just have to give the season more time to develop before ranking someone (or even their potential).

I would have said Jason has the most intuitive understanding of the game; but then he didn't do anything with the twin twist which has colored my opinion of him.

Production will do everything possible to see Audrey in the final two. I don't think there's any doubt of that. Look at how much they focus on her even when she's just tangentially related to the action of an episode. She's their Frankie of this season - it will need to take a concerted house effort to get her out.

I disagree here. Derrick was manipulating from day one. It just became more prominent when he was controlling 1 person as opposed to planting seeds to multiple people. He had one game the entire season and he never was in danger.
