What is your reasoning to JUST watch the show?
Because this is a form of entertainment, just like a movie. I don't want to go into a movie knowing every detail and plot twist, including the big climax and double twist ending. It takes the fun out of the experience. I just don't see the enjoyment of watching a show that's set up like BB if you already know who wins HOH, who wins POV, who gets evicted, etc..it takes the drama and anticipation out of it. This is all just from my perspective, I'm definitley not saying people are "wrong" who do all of that.

You get it all laid out, unedited
I will say, I watched about 2 or 3 episodes of BBAD on days that there weren't spoilers (I think it was maybe wednesday night?) and I DO really enjoy that. All the gameplay and strategy that CBS doesn't show, that's very interesting to me. It's just hard to watch it if I know there will be spoilers.

i agree but its so nice to watch them actually strategize. CBS doesnt and really cant show all the things that goes on to get them to those points

I already catch a lot of flak from the gf for watching it 3 days a week, I don't think I could get away with 3 days a week plus another 6 hours of BBAD too

I agree with this. One of the main reasons I watch the broadcast is to see the edit. The endings (HoH, noms, POV, POV ceremony, and most exits from the house) are very anti-climatic.
And I confess, I lagged this year bad in watching BBAD, but I still followed some people who update the feeds so I knew what the deal was.

The jury house must have been terrible...seems least they ever showed it this season

The best example would be Evel Dick, he was on his way out several times only for the other players to get pulled into DR and come out wanting to keep him.
This was a pretty good example. Dick did several things in that house that would have got any floater disqualified immediately. Dumping a drink on someones head, verbal abuse, and burning another house guest with a cigarette.
Granted I liked it, made for some good television, but if Joe had did anything like that, they would have shitcanned him instantly.

Why wasn't this automatic grounds for dismissal? I thought there was a strict no physical altercation rule in the house.

Because it was Dick, he was a fan favorite. I think the whole controversy about Frank cheating also was the reason the season was quickened and ended fast. I think it also had a lot to do with not seeing the Jury House very much.

Another good example is Brendan being "voted" back in to the house last season by America. No way that dude won the vote. BB just wanted more drama in the house

Yep, that one blew up in there face though. He was evicted, voted back in, then evicted again in a 14 day span. (Days 34-48)
ETA: The comp to get back in was set up bigtime for him to win. And he faced Lawon.

brendon had something like Kaysar had, being evicted coming back the next season, getting evicted, coming back, and getting evicted 3 times in one year
ETA: anyone gonna try out for season 15?

I'll be applying to 16. Will still be in the guard next summer.

That red haired dude was another example of production playing the game.
The Jeff coup de ta was the most rediculous even though I liked it. That night Chima went ape shite and got kicked out.

You should when you are at an eligible age. You will have the game knowledge like Ian.
What is the age limit to apply anyway? 18 I assume.

21 actually
the only under 21 year olds have been part of a twist and didn't try out (Danielle Donato)

Best night ever before Dans Funeral Mister.
Usually I like when production interfere's but I don't like them mixing vet's with newb's.

Lol at all the fanboys in this thread talking about Dan's amazing "social game".
Ummm, every single person on the jury HATED him. How is that playing a great social game??? Seriously, he's Russell Hantz redux. Usually the only way to get people out with that strategy is if they are fricking idiots. Well guess what, fricking idiots don't usually vote with their heads because they're fricking IDIOTS. They vote with the heart every time.
Dr. Will stabbed everyone but did it with a smile and they all loved him for it.
Dan did it by straight up lying on the bible and his family. Isn't part of the social game understanding people and how things like that will effect them when they're casting their votes???
A truly great manipulator would have people mad at SOMEONE ELSE when they walk out the door.
Dan's single worst move was betraying Dani and Shane. Dani absolutely would have taken him to the end, and he probably could have convinced Shane that he'd win against him bc he already won, but he ended up turning them both against him, not to mention showing the jury how truly dirty he was with no loyalty whatsoever. I really think he would have won against either of them. The key would have been beating Shane in the HOH competition, but he was scared. His competition game was too weak, so he took a risk that ended up killing him with the jury.
Which means he didn't deserve to win IMO. Couldn't win physically so lost the mental game to avoid facing him. Game was over for him at that point IMO.
The one really good move wasn't even his, because I don't believe he threw that last HOH to Ian, but Ian winning that saved him from having to straight up kill Dani, which is the only reason he got even a single jury vote.
As for him "controlling the whole house", he didn't control Boogie when he went after Janelle, and that was another fatal flaw in all of their games. The coaches should have known that they'd have to have a jury made up of several coaches to have a shot, and they all blew it by going after each other early.
Dan's funeral was very clever, but that was really his only big move in the game that worked exactly the way he wanted it to, and that was 100% pure desperation. He was out the door, and really didn't have any other choice.
Then screwed himself by flipping on Frank and Jenn the very next week. He took everything he gained and flushed it because he starting believing his own Dan Mist BS.
The biggest victim of Dan Mist was Dan himself.
Good season overall.

Great season. I avoided the spoiler thread all year because I like to see the drama of each episode without knowing. The best two players were there in the end; several weeks ago it was obvious that no one else in the house was even close to Ian and Dan. Dan probably would have won if he hadnt already won/played in a prior season.
Can't wait till next summer.
