Hell of a fricking episode. It's almost like Jimmy/Saul was the B plot.
Mike, Tuco, Crazy 8, Nacho...

It I remember correctly.
It was when they were drinking beers together. They even sung the Tampico commercial jingle.
On the Gus prediction. It's not him. Vince is saving that cameo for sure. He is going to bust it out at a epic time, and for SURE won't be previewed in a promo/sneak peak. He hid Tuco's cameos from previews, you think he is just going to bust out Giancarlo Esposito in a half, back shot in a preview?

With Tuco locked up and the cops involved, we might see an investigation of the El Michoacano restaurant. With weekly drug deals going down there, we might get to see Hank.

Wait, that nervous kid doing a transaction with Tuco was Krazy 8?

I do feel like the Saul stuff and Mike stuff are a little too separate from one another.
Hope they interact more soon.

I never saw a timeline for how many years prior to Breaking Bad this was to take place. Mike said Tuco was going away for 5-10, so that put this show at least 5 years to the senior of BB. Possibly more.

BCS is set in 2002, at least in the beginning.
BB started in 2008.

I'm so jealous that someday people will be able to start at the beginning of BCS and watch all the way through, THEN watch Breaking Bad.
I almost wish I could experience it that way

My thoughts:
So Mike will be concerned with retribution when Tuco gets out. He will want to align himself with influential players who are powerful enough to protect him from someone the likes of a Tuco, who we know will coexist in the BB world with Mike walking around still alive.
So I think what we'll see is Mike beginning to work over Nacho to climb the ladder to see who he can best align himself with. Eventually he will reach Gus, which will likely happen at the end of this season or next. When Tuco gets out (presumably early) and finds Mike, there will certainly be some major tense confrontation, but Gus will obviously set the record straight with all parties going their separate ways unharmed. And as a sidebar, Jimmy/Saul will be intertwined in this mess as an effort to help grow the Gus distribution business in the most legal way possible, with Mike as the conduit between Saul and Gus. This after Jimmy's deal with Davis & Main finally goes south.

I was planning to rewatch BB at some point, so that would be a great excuse

Great episode! I caught the Tuco chain immedlately. But I loved the Crazy 8 cameo and Tuco's meth using again!
He's at his best when he's using that cheap stuff.

The more I see of BCS the more I'm kind of amazed that Mike ever let Walt get the drop on him in BB. (though it's been so long since I've seen that scene the details are kind of murky to me)
It wasnt Walt, it was "Heisenberg".
Mike is smart and plays it safe. Walt/Heisenberg is MUCH smarter and does not.

Favorite part of the episode was the counting money scene with Tuco. Cruz is damn good at the role.

Here's a short interview with him ...

Q: What did you think when you realized that Tuco would play a role in Mike‘s own “breaking bad”?
A: I think it’s great, especially for the fans. You get history and all of a sudden, things make sense. Now you know why Mike is such as badass — because he’s had to battle badasses. He’s been there. He’s slayed major dragons.
Jonathan [Banks] is a thrill to work with. Man, he puts himself in there. When you see his work, that’s him. They had a stunt double for him, but he did most of his own stuff. I have so much respect for him.

Gilligan can keep this sh*t going with a prequel to BCS with a show about Tuco, his pre bell-ringing grandpa, and the twins.
