Fantastic episode. I just love the lingering visuals and pacing of this one... and the way this show has the confidence in its audience to let them read what's going on. When I realized that Jimmy was studying Matlock to understand the "elderly mindset," I LOLed.

Also, I love the comparisons between Mike and Chuck. They both have very dark apartments, and Mike in the diner shields his face from the light. They are both in a form of self-imposed hiding.

I'm a little sad that a younger Walt Jr. didn't join Mike for breakfast at the diner.

Another observation - that script couldn't have had more than 8 pages of dialogue.

Anyone else notice how both Kim and Howard were wearing very prominent blue clothing in the hospital?

A final thought - I have a feeling that things with at least one of the characters are not what they seem right now. If I'm right, we may be returning to these episodes later, because some of the dialogue will have a different meaning...

Great episode!

You can definitely tie in some legit ideas with Mike and his daughter-in-law. Next week's episode looks like the beginning of something special.

Now I know why they were going to name this episode jello...I wonder why they changed it last minute

Probably the same reason the Band Green Jello was forced to become Green Jelly.

Jello does not want anyone using it's name in film, music or print.

What's the deal with Mike's son? I never remember anything about Mike's family other than his granddaughter.

If we see Mike hired by Gus it won't be until next season. **or he's already working for him and the courthouse parking booth job is a cover.

Imagine when Mike calls Jimmy for legal help, the first thing Jimmy will think.. "YES, I will never have to worry about stickers again!".

When they first showed Matlock I was thinking "oh no your not", then the pan down to the sketching of the suit..
Slippin Jimmy making his way down to the old folks home.

I think the diner they showed Mike at was the same one he had his first meeting with Lydia at.

It was.

I wasn't disappointed

Mike Ehrmantraut

What do we know about his family?

His grandaughter we know. Now is the grandaughter from a son or a daughter? Has it even been mentioned?
