So was the Cap handoff; too "on the nose" with the racial undertones.

It was either Sam or Bucky. And Bucky kinda acted like he had already spoken with Steve about this.

You could look at it that way but Bucky is a man out of time also and I believe he’s ready to hang up the metal arm. The Nod he gave Sam was sort of like permission, it’s your time now.

I had that same thought in the moment but I’m pretty sure she picked up some hand to hand combat training and skills in the 4 years from Vol 2 until we saw her again in IW. Still would have been better to see her with some daggers or swords or something that she can use in combination with her abilities.

Why are you presuming a political affiliation? You think I didn't like the scenes bc I'm a sexist, racist conservative?

The shot of the hands was all about the ring. They wanted to set up that last dancing scene.

I like that Cap have the shield to Sam. Can you imagine the outrage worldwide if the Winter Soldier is now Captain America! He was once considered a terrorist and hit man.

I’m glad they didn’t let Captain Marvel get the death blow. She’s obviously powerful and did help them but it was fitting to have iron man end it.

The girl power scene was silly but didn’t take away. My sons started laughing and said “girl power” under their breath to me which was funny that they got how forced it felt.

Overall it was a great way to end a decade of great films. Yes it was cheesy at times and felt like fan service but that’s ok. This was made for the fans. Time travel is always tricky but I just don’t get bogged down nitpicking.

That Girl Power scene was a little too on-the-nose (and I thought it was done better in Infinity War) but comics/superhero stories are made to inspire everyone, young and old. Can't believe adult men are complaining about a 1-minute scene in a 3-hr movie that will bring joy to countless little girls.

There's no "us". You made the presumption.

And why would I blame you for my opinion? Opinions can't be wrong. I didn't like the choices the directors made for those scenes because they were trite.

I think unless the MCU really nails the F4 casting and the X-Men casting, they’re really going to struggle without the gravitas of RDJ, Evans and Hemsworth.

But who knows, I might be surprised by Larson and Boseman. I think Boseman has the chops and maybe Larson does too. I didn’t think Evans or Hemsworth had it until Phase 2. Still, I’m not sure they’re going to be able to do another Avengers for a while. I like Cumberbatch and Boseman but Dr Strange and Black Panther just aren’t as relatable to people because they’re a sorcerer and a king. Iron Man was just a guy in a suit. Cap was a weakling before the serum. Both were humanized in a way that I think is going to be really really hard to replicate.

Holland can do it, but he’s just not a force yet, most likely because he’s so young. I forgot about Mackie and Stan. They’re probably in it for the long haul, but they’ll likely be the new version of Hawkeye/Widow. Integral role players but not the new Trinity.

No, I don’t think that makes someone sexist or racist.

But it makes pretty good sense to presume political affiliation when someone’s original post and main critiques about a movie were the 20 second “girl power” scene and caps handoff to a black guy being on the nose with racial undertones, which you follow up with a picture of a black and white hand shaking

They did that to show Cap's wedding ring.

Followed by Sam Adkin about”her”?
Yes. It was the main reason.
There’s enough SJW bullshite in the world without inventing more.

That’s fine.

His arc was stupid.

Even Rocket got a more meaningful arc in this movie.

Thor lost more than everybody put together. Him becoming a slacker alcoholic is very realistic.

ETA: wanted more Korg. The kid bullying him online was funny though.

In my opinion the discussion about the movie is more interesting than the movie was.

Nothing wrong with this after they find him after 5 years, but then it’s like okay get your shite together. You look ridiculous next to crying Cap in a special moment when Iron Man dies.
