So you haven’t read the comics and haven’t seen the movie.
Again, Wasp is an original Avenger. Black Widow was dead long before the girl power charge.
I got out of the movie a few hours ago and yes I am aware that wasp is an original Avenger.
But when you think of the women of the Marvel Cinematic Universe what woman comes to mind? Is Wasp plastered on the toys, video games, and cereal boxes?
What depth of range and acting Charisma did you expect in this 90-second scene exactly?

Not possible. That Gamora had to die for these events to have happened.
They’re not going with that version of time travel. No butterfly effects in play. (Except when the Sorcerer Supreme says so.)

I'm so glad I waited before seeing Captain Marvel. Definitely a DVD-renter and it's clear the only things I needed to know about her for Endgame is that she exists. Oh, and apparently girl power.

That's cause it's not time travel. They are fricking up other universes. It's like no one paid attention to what the Sorcerer Supreme said to Professor Hulk. Butterfly effects do happen, just not in the MCU. What happened, happened, they are damaging other universes in the past. They basically stole Gamora from another Universe. Quill never meets her there.

They specifically stated in the film that the timeline had to be put back together exactly so that everything could happen as it already had.
Also, 2014 Gamora clearly isn't with them at the end of the movie.

Wasp, Gamora, and Nebula come to mind. Black Widow has been wallpaper with a nice arse. Captain Marvel is wallpaper without an arse. Scarlet Witch has been pretty weak as well.

They had to do that for the other universes. They said you can't change the past, you are just changing your future.

Gamora kicked Quill in the nuts. She is 100% back except it is 2014 Gamora.

Gamora is back, but she is from right before she left to join Ronan. So she doesn't know the Guardians, but is tagging along because Nebula is now with them. She always wanted to stop Thanos.
Re the movie, I thought Old Nebula was about to pop Thanos when he turned his back on her in the future, and said something like "they're arrogant; arrogant people don't see it coming".
Thinking about the timeline and Steve returning the Stones to the precise moment they took them, shouldn't Vision now reappear? They eliminate Thanos but that was after Avengers; and that first attack was what prompted Tony to work on Ultron (which led to Vision).
And yeah, gotta love Fat Thor

Just got home and had to post two quick thoughts before I fall asleep:
1. Robert Downey Jr.
I normally cringe when people clap after a movie, but RDJ got a much deserved round of applause in my theater when his credit card came up. I was really happy to see him get to finish this story, considering he was the one who started it. Honestly, looking back, its kinda hard to imagine the MCU ever becoming what it is now without RDJ kicking it off the way he did.
2. Shoutout to the Russo Bros/Feige for the troll of the century. 20+ movies all with end credit scenes, and don't include one after the biggest movie of them all. Not to mention the people about to piss themselves after sitting through a 3 hour movie

Which is why this version is dumb. You don't have grandfather paradoxing and it doesn't make complete sense for alternate universes either. They just did what was convenient for story.
Everything they discuss about quantum theory implies they are going with the bubble universe concept where every possibility exists in it's own universe. We are following one of the branches.

Did you watch the movie? She's clearly not on the ship with the Guardians at the end and Quill is searching for her at the beginning of that scene.

She’s not with the Guardians. Quill was running a search for her at the end when the team interrupted him.

So, did Tony snap her out too, everyone with Thanos originally? Or did she just wander off to figure out what to do?
Regarding the MCU, I think I'm done for now. Good place to get out, might wait awhile for the next wave to hit.
I figured Tony was gone when we saw Happy and Nick in Spiderman European Vacation trailers; Fury in particular. That might be a good movie, but I need a change of scenery for awhile.
A tip of the cap to RDJ, he was fantastic throughout these films. I'm glad he went out in style with the "I am Iron Man" snap

Which is really odd with the whole Nebula killing Nebula.

quote:y'know, that makes Steve a cold motherfricker if he lets Bucky kill Tony's parents (again). But you kind of need to, to make Tony become the man he did.
In fact, him going back to Peggy in that time opens up other possibilities for more stories. In fact I would not be surprised if phase 4 said they created SHIELD together.
Tough to stand around and watch Hydra do the Winter Soldier thing, but the universe depends on Iron Man.
