Yes, I can tell!

I like analyzing it, as well, but not as much as you. I read some things here and there, but my research is nothing compared to yours.

What do you think about the "bottom 3" theory I talked about on the last page? Have you ever noticed Seacrest announce the "bottom 3" without him ever saying the words "bottom 3"? There is a reason he does that IMO.

Haven't noticed. I think Hollie was in the bottom 3, but may not have been second to last. They should go to bottom two by now or just go through them until the last two.

I'm convinced that each time he says the words bottom three, that they are indeed the lowest vote totals. But when he doesn't say bottom three but tells a group of three contestants that one of them is leaving, 2 of them aren't necessarily the lowest vote getters of the three. They do that sometimes to create drama.

Awesome. I totally agree. This is a reality show after all, and drama needs to be created, thus the million different ways also that Seacrest uses to mess with their heads about who's going or not. I look forward to this each week, to see "ok, what dick move is he going to do now?"
Last week was pretty dickish.

so let me get this straight, its ok for this dude phillip to be original and sing a DM song that most people dont know, but if elise does it with a JimmyH song its not a good thing.
Am I the only person that noticed that?

I think these people (those 2 espec) want to be too original, like JLO said, that day will come.
SInging a song the majority of people know and like is what will win this little contest for them.
Ive watched this show on and off for the past 5-6 years and it seems that's most common issue I see with these singers, they don't pick good songs much of the time.

Final Two:

Skylar & Josh

I think thats pretty accurate. I think this week either Elise or P2 go home. And I do think Josh is a finalist. I hope like hell Skyler isnt. So in honor of wishful thinking, im going to say Josh and Hollie.

His favorite thing to do this season is tell a contestant "I'm sorry to say (insert witty comment about being safe even though the contestant thinks they are about to go home)" and then Ryan points them towards the couch. Every episode without fail this season that is how it has gone down.

I disagree at this point with josh being anywhere near a shoe in to be a finalist. I don't think he has enough of a voting base behind him at this point. He needs sanchez to leave very very soon and he will grab a lot of those votes. If Sanchez left this week I'd say the majority of her votes will go to a split between Phillips and Joshua. Right now the judges are pushing for Joshua really hard but he has a tough road to the finale.
If I had to pinpoint it right now, skylar and Phillip both have a great shot at the finale because of built in voting fanbases. Phillip could actually be a surprise bottom 2 tonight though because of weak performances but I think he will be safe and bounce back next week.
Y'all all know who I want in the finale at this point but she is facing an uphill battle. She has had strong weeks back to back but she doesn't have as strong of a voting base as the others. She has a loyal voting base though. Then there are rage voters like myself that help out

Should be an interesting elimination show tonight though.

Some of you may not like Hollie singing ballads every week, but the girl fan flat out sing them. She's a natural singer and doesn't try too hard like some of the rest. And the judges' hate for her is just disgusting. It's beyond obvious they want her out of there. She sang "Save Me" very, very well yet Jennifer Lopez not only criticizes it, but gives a 1 1/2 minute analysis. Fck off J-Lo

Skylar is trying to be that white-trash country girl who throws in a mixture of rap and pop. GTFO with that horse shite. And I'm surprised Brian May and Roger Taylor didn't slap the shite out of her for destroying The Show Must Go On. The note at the end = complete FAIL.

The Mexican Asian girl is trying to be like those black soul singers who take 5 minutes to sing the National Anthem at sporting events. Please go home and take Jennifer Lopez with you.

Phillip Phillips is just fcking awful. First of all, he doesn't sing. Second, his facial expressions are the most entertaining parts of the songs (and not in a good way either). Third, he comes across as "hey, I'm gonna growl for a minute and if you don't like it, frick off"

Elise needs to go home and take her bad song choices and shitty attitude with her. There's a reason the judges criticize her week after week. She would rather roll her eyes and complain than listen. They actually give her GOOD advice.

Josh is homo and not a fan of the gospel stuff but he does it well. Not much else to say here.

J-Lo sucks as a judge. So does Tyler. That's one of the reasons that they harped on Dixon last week - he was too original.

Oh, the horror.

****Spoiler: Not really, but don't read if you don't want to hear anything from DialIdol.***

Dial Idol has sucked this year at predicting, but this week, they say Hollie is the only person who is safe. They say she could be 1-5, but every other contestant could be as low as 6.

Maybe Bee can breath a little easier.

She can sing for sure, but let's be honest. If Hollie wasn't a smoking hot blond, she would have been gone a few weeks ago.

To be honest, I think this probably the most talented season I've watched, but some of these finalist are somewhat boring. I like Elise and Skylar and I was pulling for Colton simply because they change it up week to week.

Dial Idol is completely useless now because it doesn't account text messages and on-line votes which supercede call in votes.

For instance, in the round of 24, Dial Idol had that kid Eben as the highest ranking vote getter by a wide margin and he wasn't even in the Top 6 guys.

Im not saying hes a shoe in, but I will say this. I think every week he is expanding his repertoire of what he can do. I think the more he sings up beat rocky songs, it sounds like he has the ability to acquire more of a fan base. I think he has his niche, which is the gospel sounding stuff, but the more upbeat relevant songs he does makes him more marketable.

I think P2 had a bad night and Elise did also. I think its either her or him that go home and Jessica is the third in the bottom 3.

See, I thought Elise had the second best night behind Josh. Her first performance was great. I really liked her second performance despite what Lopez said.

Here is my problem with Lopez. Right now, all of the finalist are better musicians and singers than she is. She is a pure marketing product - a good looking chick that can dance and can stay relatively in-tune. Her criticism is the same thing ever week because she doesn't really know what she is talking about.

This is true. You Are allowed to text vote with AT&T phones as much as you want for two hours. You can vote online for up to 50 times. You can also call in votes as much as you want.

Dial idol used to be a great metric without the text and online voting. When it is just call in votes, lines would get busy and in a two hour period, one could only connect and vote up to a max 20-25 times before the lines are shut down. Dial idol could track that.

I checked out dial idol earlier this morning. So, as much as I am happy with dial idol showing that Hollie should be safe, I will still be nervous until they send her to sit on the couch

Last night, from my experience, Hollie and skylar's lines hit busy signals the whole voting period. It's a good sign because I like them both. One over the other obviously but I am a fan of them both.

This competition will be decided by the rage text and computer voters like me and other people that care too much about a singing competition.
Not by the phone voters.
