Let me rephrase what I meant. I didn't think she had a bad night, I voted for her almost as much as I voted for Josh, I just think in regards to what she needs to do to stay (See Zepplin performance) she had a bad night.

Here is my problem with Lopez. Right now, all of the finalist are better musicians and singers than she is. She is a pure marketing product - a good looking chick that can dance and can stay relatively in-tune. Her criticism is the same thing ever week because she doesn't really know what she is talking about.
Said the same thing almost verbatim to my wife last night. Lopez is a better looking, more sober version of Paula.

PP2 doesn't give a shite about winning AI. He heard when Jimmy said he's sign him on the spot and he knows he will have his choice at deals when this is said and done. He will be able to negotitiate and not be tied down by whatever shite is in an AI contract if you win.

"American Idol" will hold his rights for like 6 months after he is out of the competition so that sucks for him and everyone else that wants to sign a deal with someone when they are off the show.

If the finals were today, I'd say Josh deserves to be there. I also think he made himself markable to a larger fan base, last night. However, the fact that he was ever in the bottom 3 demonstrates that he's not getting as many votes as the others or he didn't that week. Every time someone goes at this point, though, I think most of those voters hang around and shift their votes. By now, they are invested in the show and they're used to voting.
P2 has had a strong fan base. The question is whether he turned off any of his fan base with his performances and his comments during the interviews. He didn't come off as humble as he's been in those and he was a bit of a smart arse in them. I don't think he'll be in the bottom 3, but it wouldn't surprise me with the way the season has gone. Colton turned off some of his fan base.
Keeping in mind that the people voting do not all necessarily vote for the best singer, it's hard to figure out what could happen.
I haven't liked Elise the entire season. Not that she's not talented, but she's not been consistent, to me, and I think her personality on the show can be a turn off.
Both Chez and Hollie have pipes. Both spent the first part of the season just concentrating on the singing rather than selling the whole performance. Hollie has made the turn which could keep her longer than she would have stayed otherwise.
Chez still hasn't made the turn, but her followers got upset when she was voted off. Worked to her advantage. No way either of them are in the finals, IMO.
Skylar has been a consistent whole package entertainer this season whether you like country or her twang or not. With one exception, she has gotten better with each week and she slayed the show, last night, from a musical talent standpoint. She's given herself a shot at the final, now. Could be her, Josh or P2 for the win. Just depends on which of them do well the rest of the season and where the votes of the others go. With 4 girls left, there's a good chance those votes go to Skylar. She could be a dark horse victor.

Oh, and the judges are the worst they've ever been this year. Randy could stay though he's not a jewel, but the other two are pretty useless.

You are right. I think my scenario of vote splits that i mentioned in another post is pretty accurate when it comes to who is voting for who and who's votes will go where. Usually the crowd of people that do vote on this show will stay around and vote for a new favorite. My votes would probably go to skylar if Hollie goes.

Hopefully for you as a Phillips fan, he didnt go full Colton and have his fans either turn on him or not show up when it matters. Phillips got a lot of hate on some other boards for his performances and attitude. I think the guy is obviously not feeling well and it has affected him. But he isn't going anywhere right now IMO.

It's a popularity contest. The younger voters and people who care enough to rampage vote control these competitions. Older voters who use the phone only to vote, have less of a voice in who wins nowadays.

I've always been indifferent with Elise. I can tell she is talented, just not my style.

Hollie has definitely passed bebe if you look at it objectively IMO. Of course I have always felt this way, but I am happy people are starting to notice.

Yeah, bebe has a strong fanbase back into the fold. I think she is safe this week. She hasn't had a big "wow" moment since "I will always love you" though IMO. He is just getting by. She was decent last night. That's about as nice as I will go

Dead on. People may not like the country but skylar is bringing it. She has a very good chance to make it to the finale. I am sticking with my guns and saying josh will not win this thing. Phillip has a chance but he needs to bounce back strong.
Don't count out the Liverpool Texan just yet

Steven Tyler made an extremely awkward and inappropriate remark after Phillips sang "fat bottomed girls". He kind of caught himself but he said "you know what they say about girls with more Cushion?" he then caught himself. He is losing it out there.

The judges really pissed me off with the whole shock and indignation when Jessica was the lowest vote getter. They sounded like they were actively saying she should win it all, right now.
I mean, yeah I was shocked too...but it is a popular vote contest. And no matter what, music is subjective. People will vote for whoever they feel like, no matter what. That's how we got Barry Soetero as president.

Actually, Ivine's company has first rights to the Top Ten, so he'll pick as many as the Top Ten as he likes.
Winning Idol is good for your career, impressiving Ivine is better.

I agree. I wish they'd get rid of the save and let this go strictly by votes. It is what it is. I also wish the Top 24 were the top 24 best singers regardless of gender.

Because you're the model of objectivity.

I'd much rather they get better judges. Better judges solve a lot of problems with the show.
Put Ivine on the panel. Keep Randy. Bring in a third judge that has a production/writing background.

Yes, he is losing it out there. His schtick has run dry for me.
JLo is flaky. One minute she watches the show for Josh and the next it's for someone else. They need to judge the singing each week and leave the rest to the voters if this is really American Idol.
I watch the show because I enjoy singing competitions, but I don't enjoy it so much as I used to. No one is "keeping it real" with the exception of Randy, on occasion. Has nothing to do with whether I agree with them or not. It's pretty obvious.

Yeah I know that jimmy can pick and choose. What I am going off of is that "American idol" itself will hold some of them back because they are contractually locked into doing the idol tour and can't really sign elsewhere until that is up. Phillip is in a good spot because jimmy will probably sign him. My comment is directed to those who will not be able to go out of the idol family for a specified amount of time. The contracts these people sign to be on the show are pretty rigid. Idol has control to do what they want with them. They try to control their behavior of what they say and do in public just like what was happening with Colton and religious tweets.
But Phillip is in a good spot when it comes to future after the show. He isn't one of the ones I am really talking about when it comes to idol keeping the chains on.

I don't think there's a chance she makes the finals unless something absolutely bizarre occurs. I think she can make the top 4. After that, we'll see how she does.
What time is your appointment with the psychiatrist?
