Just got back from the theater.
I am floored. That was an incredible movie, and I really can't decide whether I like TDK or TDKR better. For me, it's:
1a. TDKR
1b. TDK
2. Begins
I will line up to see anything Nolan directs from here on out.

I honestly don't know how I feel about TDKR aside from the fact I liked it. I have to see it again.

Just got back. Bane was retarded. TDKR was the worst of the three.

I just got done watching it. IMO it was the weakest film of the trilogy. While I liked Bane's brutality, his voice was flat out ridiculous. I'm a big Nolan fan but I would really like to ask him what the hell he was thinking making him sound like that.

I agree. Bane sounded Like Sean Connery voicing the Dragon from the movie Dragon Heart.

Batman falls off 3 story building with Dent...needs a cane.
Batman falls off 50 story building with Rachel...walks away.

He did use his cape to break the fall for the Rachel fall.

I wish they would've used the Knightfall story to setup the first half of the movie. Being that Bane frees the prisoners and Bruce has to come out of retirement to clean up the mess....which would lead to Batman getting exhausted and allowing Bane to defeat him. That would've been a lot more compelling than what we got in the first half of TDKR.
Also, do the people of Gotham know that Bruce is Batman at the end? What reason was given for Wayne's death? Gordan said "the people need to know who the hero is," so that leads me to believe that could've told everyone.
I still think using the original bat suit at the end would've been a great touch. Of course I was never a big fan of the suit he got in TDR.

The big problem I have with this movie is there is not one scene that I can't think of that stands out as a wow moment. It seemed like this movie was just rushed along in order to finish the trilogy.

I can accept that not everyone will like this movie, I think it is the best of the 3, but seriously?

Gotham blowing up stood out to me.

I meant a character moment. Gotham didn't really blowup either. The football field falling in could have been good if it wasn't already revealed in the trailers.
The joker slamming the guys head down on the pencil, jack sparrow riding the sinking ship into port, iron man flying into the expo, these are all moments that stick with you. I just think this movie lacked that wow factor.

Just got back. Good movie but I don't think it is even in the same ballpark as TDK.

Any scene with alfred. That was easy.

Yeah, the more I think about the movie, the less I'm impressed. For instance, who REALLY stood out in this movie as a character? Bruce Wayne, not by virtue of being awesome but by default. Bane was terrible, TG was useless until the end, Alfred was almost non-existent, Fox was good but pretty useless, I mean what character was really doing anything other than Bane.
JGL and the commish were good but nothing outstanding. In the end it felt like a movie with 4 major characters with no feel for the story and with no real rhythm
ETA: Hathaway was ok, but she's been better in different films. I think she stood out in this one because everyone else seemed more flat.

Just because you don't like his voice? He was terrifically acted.

Really the butler is the defining moment of the movie, the guy who disappeared and played no role in the climax of the movie provides the great character moment. So the finale to what is supposed to be the greatest superhero trilogy is carried to the finish on the back of the butler.

Its not the only character moment in the entire movie either, you just said there were none.
In fact the entire scene of Bane breaking batman might be my favorite Batman moment.
The only reasonable criticisms I have seen are
1. Bane's voice, which absolutely could have been better done.
2. A few plot-holes that don't break the movie.
3. Bane's death

I don't think you understand what I meant. I'm talking about a "wow" memorable character moment. I was not wowed by the butler getting angry or crying. I gave examples of scenes from other superhero/action/adventure movies where later on you remember that moment as defining the character.

I'm a huge Nolan fanboy and expected to love this movie, but it wasn't very good. I mean it was ok, but easily the worst of the 3 and probably Nolan's weakest film. There were some rather large plot holes, the main plot wasn't well executed, and most of the scenes that were supposed to be emotional felt hollow. It was a good movie but fell way short of expectations.
