Have any of the cast commented on the shootings or is there a seperate thread for that?
It took me a while to figure out where I recognized it from too.
You got me with that one.

HOLY shite! He kept doing that and I was wondering why that motion looked familiar to me since I hadn't seen any trailers. You figured it out!

and then they put up a statue of him next to the new football stadium and then it turns out Alfred has been a pedophile preying on the boys at the Wayne orphanage for the last 30 years?
You got me with that one.

Bruce was also still obviously torn up by Rachel's death and that, combined with the fact that his mind needed Batman but the city did not, kind of drove him into isolation and seclusion. I understood his reasons just fine without needing them spelled out for me.
I got why he was a recluse (Rachel's death, needing the Batman, and it wasn't seclusion for all 8 yrs).
I mean I wanted an explanation for his knees, need for a cane, etc. Did his cartlidge just deteriorate over time as he got old? Wouldn't it heal over the course of 8 years?
You'll have to forgive me I'm college aged and I don't know what getting old is like.

Just got back. I'll be honest, TDKR doesn't come close to TDK. I just didn't like how big the scope got. Good movie and the ending was pretty good. I thought it would've been really cool if Batman had to use his first suit at the end since Bane took his second one.
Likes:
The Robin Twist
The way Batman revealed his identity to Gordan
Batman's first encounter with the police
Liam Neeson's cameo
How the police went from being corrupt in Begins, to giving their lives for it at the end
The Bat taking out the tumbler and the Police cheering him on as they charged
JGL did a great job
Dislikes:
Wayne's bum knee. Totally unnecessary
Bane's death
The Bat statue
The Scarecrow is still free....again
How Bruce was suddenly bankrupt after the stock exchange heist yet nobody seemed outside of Fox seemed to suspect that it was fraud.
So they send the entire police force underground? That seemed like the dumbest move of all time.
The Bat Signal on the bridge was cool, but did Bruce really waste his time to create that while the bomb was counting down?
I'm sure I'll think of more likes/dislikes. Good movie but I felt that certain parts were rushed and it didn't flow as well as the first two. 7/10

Saw it again tonight with a friend. He enjoyed it but had the same complaints as me, along with the majority of those outside the theater. It's a crazily bad plot and Bane, by the end, is nothing more than Talia's little bitch. Bane is a vicious fiend, but yet he allows thousands of trapped cops to live? Why not, ya know, kill them? I also find it funny (as did the audience) that Batman spends time putting gas on a building in the shape of a bat while there was an atomic bomb counting down.
Easily the least realized of these movies. I still can't believe some of it made it past the treatment stage.

Yep. It almost makes me further believe that this wasn't the movie they intended due to Ledger's death.

Good idea. I've always liked that suit better save for the neck mobility.

That is the whole point Bane works for Talia.

Lt. Dangle is Bruce Wayne's doctor. Let that sink in.

Bruce was basically a football player.

Great logic. Except for Talia has only a few moments of screen time and Bane's whole perception as an intelligent, capable villain is marginalized by the end of the movie, moreover, Talia getting the death Bane deserved. So we agree Bane is nothing more than a big, dumb flunky?

No he is a League of Shadows member. She is running the League of Shadows now. She is his boss, how is that not hard to understand. She was the Big Bad, the manipulator just like in the first movie where Scarecrow was the front.
The whole reason that Bane broke the Bat was because Bruce was out of shape with a bum knee and hadn't fought in 8 years. Once you tore up Bane's facemask he is just a strong guy. Bruce trained in the pit for 5 months and got back to being Batman. Once Batman was at full strength he was able to handle Bane.

Ivy: Bane, dear, an exit.
Bane: EXIT!

Also helps that the doctor who gave Bane the mask told him that the mask was Bane's weakness.

You giving me a synopsis of the movie explains nothing. Bane is bitch and a completely forgettable character. And no, Bane is not in the LoS.
Posted on 7/20/12 at 11:59 pm to JombieZombie
Bane is not a bitch or a dummy. He is a cold calculating genius who broke the Bat.
There is a difference in not liking the movie and being a complete dummass and you are crossing it.

He was trained by Ras Al Guhl. So if anything, he's just like Batman.

Did anyone notice when Bruce was fighting him the first time he noticed the League tattoo on both Bane and during the sex scene on Talia? I didn't think so.

For everyone talking about the cane, I just watched TDK and he's definitely limping while running to the batpod at the end.
Posted on 7/21/12 at 12:37 am to TH03
Yeah I don't know why people still say he is sprinting. I remember him limping because I wasn't sure if it was the fall or getting shot that made him hobble

He definitely noticed the scar on her. But at the same time, he has tons of scars on him as well. I feel like that was a "I won't ask about em if you won't" deal.
