Maybe he has PTSD then and doesn’t trust the suit yet.

Obviously I’m kidding, but I like these threads. I learn shite.

I really need to watch Rebels and read the supposed canon novels. I feel like I’m missing out. I need to do some research on what to read and what to avoid or bypass.

If you look at that picture, he is de-legged and burned but still focused on Obiwan. I dont think he has much of any ptsd tbh, he's already lost everything and now is empowered in the dark side.

Walking through the flames showing Obiwan that fire can't and wont stop him now would have been a good visual imo.

The comics are also enjoyable

yeah, Vader probably should've been pissed off enough to pick up a load of rocks or sand to douse the fire or barring that make a bridge out of the stormtroopers.

No way in hell does he just let Obi Wan get away that easy.

That escape tunnel was crazy confusing how did Reva get there before Leia.

Random thoughts:

-Great to see Vader. Surprised to see a showdown this soon midway, but I'll take it. Vader was a bit timid at the end but Ben wasn't ready anyway.
-Ellaria Sand sighting (Pedro Pascal's swinging partner in GOT)
-"Quinlan (Vos) was here" reference
-New robot character NED-B looks like he'd be awesome in a fight with that hammer
-Reva continues to provide no menace. Horrible casting. Michonne or that tall bald fierce Wakandan warrior Ayo would've nailed the part.

Aren't Michonne and Ayo the same person?

I think Michonne played Okoye. Ayo was Black Panther's bodyguard.

Are they writing this show to make us hate Leia?

Also, Vader's suit is supposed to be flame resistant. He can crush droids with the flick of his hand. No way he let's Obi Wan get away right there. Another random broad saves the day, like in every KK star wars property.

Also that “dual”… and Reva may go down as the worst character ever created

There's been a lot of lore inconsistencies, none more notable than the presumed death of the Grand Inquisitor, who is a prominent player 5 years from now in Rebels. That POS Pablo Hidalgo is listed in the credits as the "Lore" advisor. WTF is he doing? It's certainly not his job.

Really enjoyed this episode. Loved that we got to see a lot of Vader. Loved seeing Anakin when Obi-Wan imagined him standing there. I don’t know what we’ll get from here on, but I enjoyed this.

Would love to get a flashback or Obi-Wan dream where we see live action Obi-Wan, Anakin, Ahsoka and Rex together.

Or Leia and Kenobi not knowing each other.

They are just shitting on the canon at this point.

So the empire has Leia now. Two ways to go. Reva gives Leia to Vader, destroying all Canon. Or, Reva has a sudden change of heart.

We all know it's coming.

He is awful

I will say that it has been somewhat amusing how Disney tore down to the old EU only to build a new one that is slowly accumulating just as many, if not more, lore inconsistencies.

Perhaps they are finding out it's just really freaking hard to maintain a single unified vision and story across so many different forms of media. They would literally have to scour every printed page and every line of dialogue.

I do think the Grand Inquisitor's death is a fake out. Whether it is addressed or not in Kenobi remains to be seen. That would be a pretty egregious error for it not to be, and I say that as someone who has probably only ever watched 1 or 2 episodes of Star Wars Rebels.

Just finished it before work this morning. Wow that episode was insane. It’s so good to see a ruthless Darth Vader and to see how powerful he really is. I wasn’t expecting that much screen time from him this early in the series, but it was great nonetheless. I have a feeling this show is going to be wild the next three episodes.

Also him breaking that kids neck so nonchalantly was just nuts.

For the amount of money they have invested in the property, it's not impossible. They are self-proclaimed SW nerds all across the planet that would be thrilled to do it for a reasonable fee.

Honestly really enjoyed that episode and thought Reva was better here than in the first two by a good bit.
Vader voiced by JEJ was great to see as well. Will be interesting to see what else we get these last 3 episodes. Qui Gonn force voice, or live-action flashbacks(which I can’t believe they haven’t shown any yet)?

And that's how Pablo Hidalgo got his job. But now that he got on the inside, it's apparent he is more focused on having his name attached to new lore than he is protecting established lore.

Did Darth Vader’s conversation with hologram Reva confirm that the Grand Inquisitor is dead? Obviously Darth Vader would know if he is alive, but maybe Vader just isn’t telling Reva that he is. Maybe Vader wants to see if she is better than the GI? He knows she’s the one who stabbed him, IMO.
