It’s been available to stream for feee (or on demand) for months now. I liked it, but found it a little disappointing.

I started watching it last night and got bored.

Trying to power through it this morning and I'm struggling.

Just not a good movie.

ETA: Just got the sex scene between Ellen and Thomas.

Holy shite, this movie is awful.

I was massively disappointed.

Took some of the subtlety from Herzog’s version and made those themes overt. Ham-handed w zero finesse, not to mention terrible pacing, a trait endemic to most of Eggers’ stuff.

^^^ The Northman remains my favorite Eggers film.

I really like Eggers but this one was a tad slow for me but I saw it in theaters so stayed till the end.

I enjoyed The Witch and Northman. Haven’t seen The Lighthouse, is it worth a watch?

I enjoyed it. I like pretty much everything Eggers has done. I haven't seen Nosferatu yet though

Definitely. Visually stunning in black and white. But then again, aren't all of his films nice to look at?

HOLY shite! I loved it!! This is how you make a vampire movie. It might be my favorite movie from Eggers and I was big fan of both the witch and the lighthouse.

I never watched the original, but had read about it when this was about to come out. I thought this came out really good. I liked it way more than Northman.

I turned it off about an hour in. It was terrible.
