They could have structured the movie to be more efficient and free themselves up to have more time at the end of the movie for better storytelling.

We don’t need a 40 second scene of him be admonished for being late to his appointment lol.

I enjoyed it. Very nicely shot. The acting I thought was good. I could do without hearing Ellen moan in half of her scenes. Agree with others that the payoff was short lived considering the build up. Then the movie just ends.

It’s a solid 7.25/10.

Same thoughts after watching it. Was interesting a few young ladies were wearing bridal gear.

Thought it was fantastic, but kinda expected a different looking Count than Jim Carrey in makeup.

I was surprised they didn't make Orlok look anything like the two previous incarnations.

It was good. Lily carried the movie. Costumes, sets, and acting were all top notch. Dafoe does this character so well, as well.

I didn't love it but I also didn't hate it. I'm glad to know I'm not the only person who thought it dragged pretty hard, thought it was my glass of Woodford kicking in. The technical side of the film was great and that's expected with Eggers, the cast was great, but yeah it's still not my favorite Nosferatu.

The acting was phenomenal
Skarsgard and depp and dafoe were highlights for me
It was a very dark film. Don’t take the kids

My second favorite movie of the year behind Strange Darling. Movie looks incredible. I didn’t have issues with the pacing like others are saying.

The cinematography is incredible in this movie. The story telling..eh. I’d give it a solid 7/10 though. The atmosphere etc. gives it great rewatch-ability value imo. It’s like a Tim Burton fever dream. Could throw this and Sleepy Hollow on back to back around Halloween and be set.

I loved it. Whatever you want to describe Egger's style as, it just seems to click with me. I've enjoyed everything he has done.

As others have said, movie was absolutely gorgeous, as usual with his stuff. Some of the shots were so well done, so very creepy. The shot at the crossroads when the carriage came up was fantastic. Loved the subtle float they had him do as he got into the carriage, nice nod to the original. Atmosphere was very well built and the suspense/gravity of most of the scenes set a great tone. Will definitely be a staple Halloween movie for me.

Movie was long for sure and pacing was similar to his others, either love it or hate it there i'd say.

acting wise I don't have a single complaint. I think everyone absolutely nailed it.

I mean, he didn't not look like them. Most was pretty similar besides the mustache and still had some hair that hadn't fallen out. I think they had said they wanted to pay homage a little more to Vlad, so added some touches for that, which I think worked. Cloak was different, but otherwise the core still looked the same.

Eggers and sexual themes in his movies, name a more iconic duo

The Witch - Frustrated, isolated teen girl

The Lighthouse - Jackin it

The Northman - The whole "all dudes kind of want to bang their mom" psych concept is referenced

Now Nosferatu making it rain where the sun don't shine
