Almost all leaders of superhero teams are the blandest ones.

Cyclops is extremely bland when compared to Wolverine and Gambit and others. But he is needed the most because his role is to get them to fight as a team.

It works into his plan but most, if not all, of the Avengers would probably take him (exceptions being Hawke/Natasha).

Would have been fine.

He's the only one that seems like he's in danger, but he also comes across as being in over his head.

There is never a sense of suspense or tension. It's basically who is going to get their arse kicked next? And Loki's army wasn't anything special.

It's a fun movie, but it's definitely being over-hyped.

I know. His danger isn't physical, it's all mental. Always has been.

You're not worried that Hulk will die. It's other things you are worried about when it comes to him. That's what makes him such a great character.

Absolutely right:

Cyclops
Leonardo
Red Ranger
Reed Richards
Captain Britain
Superman
Robin/Nightwing

Based on?

Thor is not invulnerable. There is a reason he was desperate to get out.

He is just an average dude. He nearly died many times.

And why Loki did not like the idea of being in there after Fury explained what it does and why it was built.

I think people are overlooking that scene.

Loki isn't as powerful as Thor which is also made obvious in the movies.

Cable would be bland onscreen.

Unless the film is an Origin Of Cable movie, with a few bits about New Mutants in the closing moments. . .like X-Men New Class.

I haven't liked a pure summer-blockbuster/message-less-rollercoaster-ride this much since the Empire Strikes Back.

It ain't steak or lobster, but popcorn has its place & it's some of the best popcorn I've ever eaten.

He would be onscreen. . .unless he either had a origin movie to set him up, or some such.

We know he is bad arse, because of the long basis we have to draw from

Imagine if all you knew of him was when he was playing wet nurse to the New Mutants?

I don't remember the last time I was this satisfied by a movie.

As normal, Downey was funny as shite and had a bunch of awesome names he teased people with that were good references.

The Point Break reference was the best but most of the people in the theater didnt get it.

Those kids are annoying as shite, though.

Several of their powers are dumb as frick.

If you want Cable in a movie worth watching, you put him in with the X-Men, or give him his own movie.

New Mutants won't work, for the same reason Teen Titans wouldn't work.

"Let's go, Legolas."

My wife lost her shite on that one.
