Family Guy is the same 5 episodes over and over again.

American Dad is the same 3 episodes over and over again.

What’s ironic is that they’ve become the sellouts they used to make so much fun of like Spielberg and Lucas after crystal skull.

I mean Sammy and I kind of agreed (which is pretty shocking) on why not do say a Top Gun Maverick or Dune parody and keep it completely apolitical. Those two franchises seem like prime material for a South Park episode.

Or just do any of the shite that they teased this past summer, like someone else mentioned. Diddy, Kanye, Butters as ATC.

I thought this episode was pretty funny with the dolls, the Chinese guy, butters, etc

I love South Park, but I’m going to check out of this season. I was hoping they would snap out of this repetitive shite with Trump and turn out something excellent, but if you look at this latest episode, you will see that at least 10% of the total minutes of the program was just them repeating one line over and over.

It’s really not about Trump for me. It’s just the one-trick nature of four episodes now… and counting. Sadly, this was one of the better episodes this season otherwise.

I thought the Kristi Noem and Charlie Kirk shite was funny, so no. But you’re a TDS tool who makes everything about Orange Man Bad and want it to consume your life.

Pretty sure you have the wrong guy.

I agree about Family Guy, but I'm probably in the minority that thought American Dad was better than Family Guy.

Granted, I haven't watched either in a long while, but peak American Dad was more witty and smarter humor. But I also think Roger the Alien was one of the best characters on TV.

This thread and the one complaining about Pixar have a lot in common. Namely, that the things you found great 20 years ago when you were a teenager, don’t appeal to you as much anymore…

And those of you getting mad at them for making fun of Trump who can’t see the irony of what you are doing is hilarious.

Explaining the principle of the rule, Professor Michael Conklin wrote in the Nebraska Law Review: "The rule recommends that when an author utilises a fictional character to defame a real-life person, he should also give the character a small penis - the logic being that in order to sue, a plaintiff would have to admit that he is the fictional character, therefore admitting that he has a small penis."

This makes no sense in this context. They're literally using a picture of Trump's face and calling him by name. It's unambiguous.

All I see is a bunch of people saying this season is boring. Like I said after episode one, Trump jokes are stale and overplayed. They just aren't funny.

Yeah, my parents always thought South Park was boring too.

My parents always thought it was obscene and crass, and it is, but that's what you expect from South Park. I don't recall them ever watching enough of it to say it was "boring."

I'm also going to check out this season. I'll come back next season to see if it gets any better.

Wrong. Most of us who post in South Park threads have been watching since the beginning. I've enjoyed every season of the show...some more than others of course.

I didn't have any issue with them lampooning Trump when they had Garrison do it for a couple seasons. I didn't like that they replaced Garrison's character, but the bits they did weren't bad and were often funny. What they are doing now is Colbert-esque. It's just not that funny and really just seems like it's begging for clapter instead of just being funny. Half the episode this week was a lame play on words that was repeated ad-nauseum.

Yes, there were some people here that were butthurt about Garrison as Trump, and yes, those people are also butthurt about the new Trump / Sadam character. But your assessment is shallow. Most people aren't in that camp and have higher expectations for a show that has consistently been a trailblazer in comedy.
