I will keep watching but I think we all just need to admit that True Detective was a one hit wonder and they're never going to be able to catch that lightning in a bottle again. It happens.

I watched the first episode and found it quite awful. Jodie Foster is usually good in everything but she's terrible in this.
I'm finding it really hard to even try to watch another episode. Way too much great TV out there.

Its hard to not realize the plot factor that makes every man look like an idiot. But way more than that everything just sucks about the show, the investigation is not intriguing at all

That's all I've been saying as well.
People feel like they should watch or justify it because of it's name. I've never felt less of a desire to watch a second episode since Pandora. Nothing likeable, quality isn't there, ridiculous CGI...Bad uninteresting writing and annoying to look at characters and flat acting. If episode 1 was their opening hook, boy did they fail.

Meh, its no Season 1, but its better than 2+3 to this point.

It just seemed like season 1 was such a great show, the rest have been horrendous. Was hoping with a new crew, season 4 could bring back some of the magic. Instead, we get old Jodie Foster redoing her role from The Accused.
