re: New season (7) of Temptation Island started this week

Just started. Three episodes in. I loved the last season, but they chose some bad choices here. Losing interest fast.

The curly headed chick with the fake cans, to me, is the hottest but her personality is really weird. The Asian chick seems like a robot when she talks.

The guys are horrible. The black dude seems normal but the others are either overly nerdy or off the spectrum.

Overall, this seems like a ‘mail in’ season for the series. Nothing interesting at all. The single chicks aren’t even hot and the single dudes all seem like weed smoking surfer guys who could care less.

Absolutely. This is junk food television at its best. TI, Bachelor in Paradise and Love Island? Hell yeah.

Hania and Edgar are both the portrait of pathetic. Edgar fricking around on ramen-haired girl Gillian, then getting upset when she's developing feelings for someone else is laughable. Tommy has his shite together (as much as someone can on this train wreck) and Gillian wouldn't know a healthy relationship if it came up and bit her on the arse.

I hate to tell surfer boy Taylor, but if your girl is all "I want more, I want more" during the act, it might be time to conclude that you're not packing the hardware you'd like folks to believe.

The video messages were hilarious.

As of now, it seems like:
- Ashley and Lascelles are done. I suspect both will bang their new crushes soon. However, I don't think Trace will be interested in anything with him off the island. Everything about her seems super fake and uninterested, and Lascelles laps it up like a puppy.
- Gillian and Edgar seem done, but I have a weird feeling they may end up together. They have sort of a Casey/Ashley feel from a season or two ago (the "baby baby" idiot and the chick with the nice arse). If I was a betting man, I'd say they are done, but Gillian seems to be just partying it up on the island, but now that Tommy is pulling back (hilariously) she may try to salvage things with Edgar. Because Tommy is 100% right...she can't be alone.
- Iris and Luke actually seem to be progressing and are the only ones at this point that I'd put money on leaving the island together.
- Hania and Ash are just hilarious at this point. She is right that every word out of his mouth feels scripted (even for a reality show) and 100% not genuine. It's so great that he's over here talking about he's never been so clear that Ash is the love of his life and blah blah and all he wants is a message from her telling him that she loves him. What the frick is this dude smoking? In what world would he expect her to say that? And it was so awesome that he didn't get a message from her too. He's not only fake, but he's a fricking idiot to boot.

I think Taylor is just having fun on the island and would want nothing to do with Ash in the real world. He and Tommy both seem to be bro'ing out and just using Ash/Gillian for fun physical stuff.

Deac is so damn cringey. Jeez.

I wanted to post some thoughts about this past week, but didn't because I was the last post and nobody else is watching.

Gillian went from cocky a-hole to freaking the frick out in a split second when she saw Edgar banging that thick hispanic chick. That was hilarious.

Lascelles and Trace are so hilarious. She obviously doesn't give a shite about any of this, and he's one of the biggest beta dudes ever on the show.

It's also very apparent that Taylor doesn't care about any sort of "real life" thing with Ash. He's just banging some chick while he's in Hawaii, and Ash is falling head over heels in lust with him.

And final bonfire coming up in (I assume) two weeks. Next comes the overnight dates. Gillian will 100% bang Tommy, or at least try to unless he declines. I suspect both Luke and Hania will both go ring shopping. Predictions:

- Luke proposes to Iris and she says yes. Leave together.
- Hania proposes and Ash says frick off, and she leaves with Taylor (and they don't date IRL). Outside chance she is back with Hania by the reunion.
- Gillian and Edgar split. Edgar leaves with hispanic chick. Gillian chooses Tommy but he doesn't leave with her.
- Lascelles and Ashley split. He asks Trace to leave with him and she says no. Ashley either leaves alone or with that surfer looking dude (I suspect alone).

Watched last night’s episode.

Lascelles and Trace having an awful date where she is crying nonstop is hilarious. He’s such an a-hole and he deserves to leave alone with nobody. Ash also deserves to leave on her own or with Blake but I have a feeling she will eat up Lascelles’s bullshite if he feeds it to her. And I think she knows it too. That’s sad.

Gillian being so overly mad at Edgar is hilarious too. Bitch, you were mugging down on some dude in the shower, and for all Edgar knows you were banging him. Slow your roll. They are done. I expect Edgar to leave with Marissa and Gillian to leave alone because Tommy won’t want to be with her.

Hania buying a ring is also hilarious. But maybe he’s not stupid because Ash is literally telling Taylor that she is worried she may end up with him anyway. I do think she’ll leave with Taylor and Hania will leave in tears, but there’s a chance he can bullshite his way back I guess.

Iris and Luke I think will leave engaged. She talks a big game but I don’t think she has any intention of leaving Luke at all. And he seems to be all in with the ring.

Tommy just friendzoned Gillian.

Taylor just sort of friendzoned Ash too.

So Luke and Hania didn’t go on their dates? They just went ring shopping and are now back at the villa? That’s fricking weird.

That was a very confident “I think she’ll say yes” from Hania. And dammit, he may be right because Ash talks a big game but she’s also dumb.

Trace just sort of friendzoned Lascelles now.

Man, Hawaii is gorgeous.

Final bonfire time. I hope they don’t drag it out over two episodes. But I have a feeling they will per usual.

So as of now it almost feels like Ashley and Ash both are so confused about what to do that they may end up with Lascelles and Hania depending on what they say. That’s hilarious. And stupid.

Hania will know exactly what to say to manipulate Ash into staying, so it’ll be interesting to see what she does. It’s hilariously obvious that Taylor doesn’t really want anything to do with her off the island. And the way Taylor mash grabs her face when they kiss is cringeworthy.

I feel like anybody other than Luke and Iris staying together is a bad, bad mistake.

Edgar/Gillian. Edgar wins that conversation for me. She’s focused on him sleeping with Marissa and ignoring that she was doing God knows what in the shower and in bed with Tommy. She’s saying you hurt me, and he flips it on her and proves she did the exact same thing (and did it first, mind you). This is great. And him pulling the “you hurt me by bringing me here and should’ve just broken up with me” was a bomb.

Gillian is still crushed he’s leaving alone. She talks a big game but she’s not the alpha she pretends to be. I’m kinda surprised Edgar didn’t choose to leave with Marissa, but I feel like maybe he told her secretly that he was gonna do that.

Oh shite, Edgar sort of changed his mind and they’re bringing Marissa out? That’s not fair at all to Gillian since she thinks he’s leaving alone. That’s actually pretty fricked up honestly.

I fully expect Gillian to hit up Edgar hardcore once they are back in their hometown. That chick can't be alone, and Tommy doesn't want to be with her. I suspect she will make a visit out to Tommy (or vice versa) and they will bang it out, then she will go back home and try to get Edgar back.

Lascelles/Ashley. Of course she wants to leave with him. She’s such a weak minded person. The only thing I can think is that she doesn’t want to throw away seven years. And they leave it with a cliffhanger of him not giving his decision. He talks so much bullshite I wouldn’t be surprised if he chose to leave with Ashley as well. And IMO, all he and Trace do is fight and argue, and they aren’t even together yet. So he almost kinda should go with Ashley because it’s the easy thing to do and he’s a weak person, and any relationship with Trace would be a disaster anyway.

I don't know why, but the way Lascelles speaks drives me insane. I hate it. It's like he only partially enunciates most of his words.

Next week should be great with how ridiculous Hania will be (and Ash maybe even sticking with him and deserving his bullshite). At least the reunion show is immediately after the episode though.
