Pet Semetary Bloodlines

The story of young Judd and Timmy Baterman.

I know not to expect much from a streaming only prequel, and the 2019 remake was not good.

But I just saw this trailer, and you son of a bitch, I’m in.

Pet Semetary is still the movie that scared me the most as a kid. Not gonna lie, I still sometimes expect Zelda to pop up from a bed when I round the corner some nights.

Didn't see it but this makes sense, as most are complete dogshit.

And that's why the studios keep shitting them out...

I just canceled my Paramount subscription a month ago, and now I see this.

i'm sure they'll frick it up, but this is one of the creepiest parts of a very creepy book and if done right could be really good. that said, i'm sure it will suck.

The Zelda scene is one of the only things that truly scared me as a kid. I had an aunt who was dying of cancer around the time the original came out and she ended up looking a lot like Zelda. I still can't watch that movie.

I'm also 43. Me too. Sorta. I both hate it and am oddly drawn to it. Definitely the scariest moment of my childhood.

The original got to me. Also I had a Zelda IRL. My little brother had severe microcephaly and was basically a vegetable in bed or in his chair. Blind, deaf, unable to talk or control his movements. Had a curved spine from laying his whole life. And was super skinny as he only could eat baby food and oatmeal.
I would do all the stuff she did with Zelda. And after that movie I was afraid he would "wake up" and act like Zelda.

They’re accurate then. The movie was not good. I hate it when horror movies decide they’re actually action movies. All of the characters were exceedingly stupid. And I use the term “characters” generously because nobody stood out as more than a plot device. I also use the term “plot” generously.

There were two things about that scene that still affects me. When Zelda is laying still on her side then suddenly flips over, and that one in the gif when she runs up to the camera. No thanks

We watched it. I thought it was gonna be good, but after half an hour, nope.

It gets to be an episode of Goosebumps towards the end.

No it sucked. But the trailer for it was creepy as hell. With the kids drumming, wearing masks, and carting the dead dog. Very effective and got me to buy a ticket to the shitshow.
