Shock -one of the main agents is female? They are letting women in movies now? Lawdy Lawdy....
Who cares.
Yes, you care so little you wanted to post about it to make sure we knew you don't care.

I'm actually okay with this franchise moving away from will Smith.
It could be good but I don't see why Emma Thompson isn't the main female lead. It couldn't have been set up more organically.

I cant believe ideas like this can get funding

um..you may have noticed that this is a message board full of opinions. You can disagree with people, argue points, make jokes, etc.
why is a movie female lead threatening or even newsworthy? They've had female agents befoe. Why would anyone get riled up about it. Now, if they do stupid stuff with that person as a lead, feel free to get riled up.

Will Smith is sinking as an actor. I’m glad they’ve moved away from him. Maybe a cameo at most

The first two were great. They should have just stopped there. There really aren't a lot of places they can go with the world threat, monster, neurolizer, etc. formula. The time travel in the last one just smeared it all up into nonsense.

Rebecca Ferguson is great looking
but Thor is prettier
He had TWO makeup assistants for Thanos time or whatever it was called.
I got that from watching the interminable credits to get to the "eh" credits scene.

Can’t wait for the all female remake of The Godfather

Speak for yourself. I loved the 3rd one, much better than the 2nd.
Them going off world or at least out of NYC would be something new. They did a bit of it in the last one. Even using some other country divisions of MIB could work. Prime opportunity with Hemsworth being Australian

I'm offended that they're remaking it at all.

It’s not a reboot, it’s a continuation of a movie universe. Which IMO makes it perfectly fine if they want to roll with a female lead after multiple movies of male leads. It’s a franchise that also appeals to both sexes and has had female agents before as well.
If the critique is we have enough movies in the franchise, then I don’t disagree. But just because it’s a female lead? Please.
Some of y’all are just reactionary as frick.

This. I don't care about it because I don't care for another Men in Black movie.
It's like Ocean's 8; do we really need another one?

I just hate that this is the new "creativity" in Hollywood - just take old movies and make it an all-female cast.
What's creative about that? What's frankly interesting about that?
Gender swapping is not scriptwriting.

Didn't the first movie literally end with the female morgue doctor becoming Will Smith's Partner? Man, they sure were progressive back in the mid 90's

This is the exact kind of response my first post was directed towards. This doesn’t make any sense. This isn’t like Ocean’s Eight or the new Ghostbusters.
There has already been multiple comments about the all female reboot thing when that’s not what this is. It’s literally just a female lead in a continuation of a world that already confirmed from the first movie female agents are a thing.
This is one of those social media things where people just want to complain about shite while not even understanding the facts of what they are complaining about.
