New Disney+ series with Baymax promotes “men” having periods

Scene is Baymax in a supermarket on the tampon aisle. The joke is that he asks for help and all the people around him start handing him boxes for different situations… first time, environmentally friendly, and a trans male saying she likes the pads with wings.
I don’t get it. I truly don’t understand. First, the scene isn’t funny or cute. Then to throw in a person who looks and sounds like a guy wearing a trans flag shirt into the mix… the scene really serves no purpose for a kid. They either won’t understand it or find it funny or they’ll be confused af at what’s going on. This show isn’t even targeted at teenagers. It’s 2-12 year old boys who are the biggest demographic for Big Hero 6.

That was meant to be a joke and irony and to laugh at the ridiculousness of it all. Are you saying this is similar? That Disney is making fun of the female acting like a male?

But that was a joke. Kids know it was a joke and that it can’t happen in real life. They are now literally saying that women can become men and that men can literally get pregnant and have periods. Don’t play dumb with me. You know there is a big difference between those two things.

Yes, and that’s the joke you imbecile. Disney is not joking here though and feeding kids propaganda that women can become men and that men can get pregnant and have periods. Arnold and Danny yucking it up is not comparable to this in any real way.

I removed the post before you responded dumbass. I realized you were talking about another movie.
Aside from that, Junior was still rated PG-13. Baymax is very specifically a character meant for younger audiences and draws a younger audience.
Putting a character created for young audiences in a tampon selection scene only has one particular purpose...to further sexualize younger audiences.
Adults are not the audience, children are and this is an attempt to provoke sexual responses from children.

Even if you ignore the clearly trans grooming going on in the clip, in order for this scene to have happened in the first place there would have to be a reason why Baymax would need to be getting tampons. How could you possibly believe that is appropriate for a kids show to discuss? Apparently they didn't learn anything from "Turning Red."

I would posit that the scene wasn’t put into the show for someone like you. Representation is important, and it doesn’t harm anyone to admit that the trans community exists by including trans characters in shows and movies.
