And we’re going to take the word of a sociopath that harassed her own daughter for a year and a half at all hours of the night ? That crazy bitch started it from the jump
shite was weird but how in the frick did they never change the boy’s phone number ?
The director also let the crazy bitch get away with these half assed answers and excuses. They even handed her an excuse she clearly hasn’t thought of yet
“Do you think it’s possible it was you sending those texts to yourself due to prior trauma?”
“Umm yes,,,yes that may have been it as well”

Only plausible thing I heard was that maybe they were originally trying to set that bully chick up….dont buy it but possible I guess

Yeah I think it was her all along. She is crazy and jealous and was lusting after the boyfriend.
No way was the husband was in on it. You could see the hurt in his eyes when the cops told him it was her. He kept his cool but he was seething.

The best part was at the end when the one mom just went the hell off on the sheriff. Bravo.
They seemed like super shitty parents to me as well. Their daughter was clearly awful to other girls and they excused it the whole time. Unrelated to the main story, but I didn’t have sympathy for them.

she lied about having a job for a year, did I miss how her husband never caught on to that? did he not ask here where was the money from her income going?

This is what I don’t understand. I’d notice if my wife hadn’t contributed financially pretty fricking quick.

That lady was right though. That sheriff should have been investigating the parents hard from the get go. If a crime happens to you in your house and they don’t have a suspect. anyone living in that house will be getting investigated very thoroughly.

Im assuming she was the bread winner and he did odd jobs to supplement but you’d think after they got booted from house #2 he may have asked some questions

I guessed who it was in the intro.
When they said the 2 Moms became friends because of the kids. I didn’t like the looks of old beaver mouth.

Mom absolutely started it.
I'm shocked the daughter is having anything to do with the mom. The daughter was also strangely calm in the body cam. It makes me wonder what sort of knowledge she had.

It is well known she was a mean girl bully. Lots of stuff out there about it.

kendra is a manipulative narcissist, her family are just pawns

Comparing her situation to someone that drives drunk but doesn’t get caught was something as well.

He said that she handled all of the finances. I think he's one of those baws that just wants to focus on work and let the wife manage the home, including the money. But when the eviction notice showed up on the front door he should have done a deep dive.

She 100% started the messages too, and her reason for lying about it is because it makes her seem less culpable in her mind. She is a classic narcissist and takes no responsibility for her own actions. I cannot fathom someone trying to excuse away telling their own daughter to commit suicide. She needs to be committed and evaluated, and if I’m the dad there’s no way I’m allowing my daughter to have contact with her. I understand at some point this will be out of his hands though.

I may be a control freak with finances, but I can’t imagine a world where I never checked account balances and shite. I think the dad knew but was more of a working to “stop this, and I’m not a part of it approach” vs his wife getting taken away in handcuffs in front of their daughter. Hell at some point they prob sat the daughter down to explain mommy’s problem so they prob all knew.

The daughter definitely needs some counseling to process all of this

Right? That nutjob is totally unrepentant.
All you people have done bad things and gotten away with it. All I did is tell my daughter to kill herself over and over.

It was here the whole time. The first messages were right before the Halloween party that she wasn't invited to didn't want to go to and they said:
quote:
"Hi Lauryn, Owen is breaking up with you.
He no longer likes you and hasn't liked you in a while.
It is obvious he wants me.
He laughs, smiles, touches my hair
Not sure what he told you but he is coming to the Halloween party and we are both DTF"
13 year old's don't text like that. Those are clear and coherent texts that anyone can read and even have the proper use of commas. 13 year old texts use nothing but slang and abbreviations and you need a damn decoder ring to read.
It also plays on Lauryn's fear and insecurity for not being invited to the party, but her boyfriend was which was something her mom would have been direct witness to. It is clear her mom was trying to manipulate her from the beginning.

I don't understand how she didn't get in more trouble for the sexually explicit texts she was sending to TWO minors. How is that not a crime????
