Avicii Wake Me Up Song was the biggest song of 2013 and that's him singing in it and he wrote it

I had to google it last night, I've heard the song several times and always thought it was a Mumford and Sons song.

The only performances I liked last night were Aloe Blacc, Wagon Wheel, and Celine and Neyo.

Anyone notice him panic over time and try to hand Will Tessanne's award while he was trying to get her to sing?

All better than Tessanne

But Tess had Adam blowing her all season.

Nah, during the middle weeks of the season Adam always seemed legitimately surprised that Tessanne kept sailing through, the overall quality of her performances improved immensely the last third of the season. Amongst the only 3 the voters had a choice in they got it right with T. Saying Ray had one of the best voices this season totally undermines your credibility as well, that is totally nonfactual even allowing for musical appreciation subjectivity. James and Cole were legit, thought they both sounded really good last night, that weekly grind beats down their pipes and they sounded back in top mode with some rest.

The coaches choices in the battle & knock out rounds shape the season too much, some good contestants get screwed on being pigeonholed into something not right for them and get sent home over someone better in a song type/genre. Instead of the stupid Twitter saves the audience should have some kind of say in bringing back 2-3 contestants who were eliminated in the knockouts, I would actually vote in that segment.

Listening last night it is a shame Preston didn't receive coach support to keep him in, that guy is legit. Would not have won but brought something good to the show. Wife still pissed Matthew and James got axed and totally blames Christina for focusing on her little hamster and choosing questionable songs. I continue to believe Matt was having challenges with his voice the last two weeks he was in it due to overuse as he sounded excellent again last night.

2 shows a year is going to weaken the product, but the network and coaches like getting paid.

Didn't get around to watching the finals (iTunes pretty much told us who won anyway) and sure enough, it was Tessanne. Blah.

She did put on some good performances Monday night, but she had been boring all season I thought. I was sure she was headed home in the first live playoff show, then even more sure after her terrible reggae No Doubt song. I guess I'm just out of touch with what the voting bloc likes.

IMHO, though, the best voice was Ray.

Stopped reading here. Jesus

Tessanne won it with her Whitney performance. She did a great job with that. JL kept trying to sing songs that were way over the top and, the big problem, way too mature for her. She's 16. Keep that in mind when choosing her songs (Blake did a great job with Dannielle on this)

Will might be the weirdest guy ever

This. JL has a sick level of ability for being 16, but what we saw on Monday night was Tessanne being what JL could be in another few years: all the power but with the control and the emotion. We saw a glimpse of what JL could do on the final live performance at the end of her doing "Back to Black" (which was also her audition song, it was interesting to go back and watch the differences) and got a face-full of her raw ability at the end of the Jennifer Hudson-version of "And I'm Telling You".
