Yeah, Holly didn't do her best... still would have taken her over Nick because she could actually improve and win whereas Nick will be gone the first week of live shows most likely.

Every time the big country chick is on I can't help but think she should be in the cast of Honey Boo Boo.

Cole was awesome, easily the best of the episode with Grey second, in my opinion.

Just now watching. Holly had major pitch problems I felt. Didn't seem like she could hit any of the big notes. Never was a fan of Nick, but I think he did do better tonight.

Pitch errors abounded last night, but so did stellar performances.

I'm not sold on Johnny Grey and have no idea why he was ever picked to begin with (much like "Big Sexy"). Cole fricking brought it though. I can easily imagine that for the many folks that don't know that song (myself included) that his version is going to be what folks think of if it comes up again.

Holly v. Nick - See "pitch problems". She has the better voice, but she was all over the map on her control. Sad to see her go, but she will probably be okay as she has tremendous potential.

I have been fairly unimpressed by Penny's Sister thus far this season. Her voice was mediocre but more than that I got this feeling that she thought her shite didn't stink. Last night was the first time I didn't get that feeling from her, but that was far too late for me.

I kinda like Kat. She has a decent voice, but more than that she reeeeeally wants it and isn't afraid to show it. While the song choice was only okay, she worked the shite out of that performance to earn that win (although it was an easy win considering Monika's song choice and pitch problems).

I haven't kept up with the Voice posts here this season, but I have to say that Skinny XTina is MUCH more preferable than ChunkTina. I don't know if it was a self-image issue or she just stores bitchiness in her fat, but she seems to have mellowed out a shite-ton this season compared to the previous ones.

Forgot about this thread...my notes were kinda long last night, so sorry about that. Also, I feel like this is the most amount of "show" I've watched this season. I guess because we had 8 actual matchups that they actually showed.

Amber/Josh. Amber was good, Josh did awesome..that's a hard song to sing (and Stevie is obviously awesome). Good call on Josh, and I knew CeeLo was gonna steal Amber because he's a perv.

CeeLo dicking on Blake's team was pretty funny, and I bet he did some apologizing backstage to the contestants.

Kat/Monica. I feel like Kat almost sucks. It weirds me out that I almost kinda dig her weird, lazy eye though. Monica is pretty good. Neither are great tonight, but I agree with CeeLo that Kat was better this night.

Christina is looking fricking awesome, and she's not pissing me off really. WTF? It's like Bizarro Voice or some shite.

Holly/Nic. Holly is good, but sometimes she sounds like she's WAY off key...it's weird. But I think Nic fricking sucks balls (both literally and figuratively), and that it was a terrible song choice. Surprised Blake chose Nic, but I wonder if he thinks Nic will be popular with the voting?

Loved Blake calling Christina out for never liking anybody.

Ashley/Tessanne. Before either of them sing, I am pulling for Ashley...I don't like Tessanne for some reason; not sure why. I thought Ashley killed it. Tessanne did well too though. I do feel like Ashley should've gotten stolen though.

Christina "You did the best that you could do." Nice.

Brianna/Shelby Z. Brianna is hot. I feel like she's oversinging everything. Shelby is really good. I dig how confident she is, and she sounds a lot older than she is when she sings. Brianna knew she lost too..she looked PISSED on stage. If she wanted to show her rock side, she shouldn't have picked Don't Speak. That was stupid.

Grey/James. Grey did really well. James did too, but Grey took that one easily IMO.

Nice black handshake, Carson.

Destinee/Olivia. Destinee has zero low range, but the rest is solid. Olivia should've won...she did well. And she's gorgeous IMO.

Am I the only one tired of hearing Carson say "I know this decision is super tough, but..."?

Oh, Christina...you poor, poor thing. "Why am I on this show...can Shakira come back?" I'm sorry this show and your ridiculous fricking $12.5 million salary so you can sit in a chair and be a complete bitch to everything is such a burden on you. fricking count. There, I hate you again...all is right with the world. :)

Cole/Johnny. Cole sounds fricking AWESOME. Rarely do I go back and rewatch performances, but I went back and watched him a second time when he was done...and then a third time after CeeLo picked Johnny. Johnny is good, but not as good IMO, and the Beatles song was a bad choice IMO (even though he did a great job). But both definitely deserve to stay. Adam's "I don't care who he takes, I'm taking the other one" was cool...took the pressure off of them immediately. That was cool. And Blake fricking NAILED that pitch. Adam looked legitimately upset.

Bunch of pitch problems last night.
Most were horrible. Nerves? Something sounded off too. Maybe it was the acoustics(giving them the benefit of the doubt).
But last season was miles above these singers at this stage of the competition.
