There's so many that are better.
Major League, Slapshot, Miracle, White Men Can't Jump, Goon, etc., etc.

I believe the movie itself was nearly perfect. The music, the acting, the storyline were all a perfect mesh to project the feelings this movie intended to project.

The natural is my favorite sports movie.
I'd definitely buy an argument that raging bull isn't really a sports movie; to me, it's about a guy that happens to be a boxer. Rocky is slightly different (and I do consider it a sports movie) as its a movie about a boxer.

I can't believe I forgot the Bad News Bears (original) - that film holds up. The acting from the kids was fantastic. Matthau was perfect.

The Real Eric Liddel final race
At 32.11 in the video.
After he refused to run his best race, the 100 on the Sabbath..he runs the 400 instead.
