At least Mythbusters has some legitimate backstory to it and they're doing their collisions/explosions in the context of a myth.

I watched ONE Smashlab episode(ironically the one about Hurricane winds) and I felt like they were trying to insult the viewers.
They stapled paper thin plywood onto a house frame that wouldnt withstand a breeze much less 100 MPH winds and then acted shocked when it was blown away in 10 seconds. That was all i needed to see so I stopped watching it and no have no urge to watch it again.
