I love the combo of Nile, Elton John, and Chopin. I thought I was the only one who would have Mozart and Slayer playing back to back

I don't like Mozart - too straight-laced. I'm generally only interested in Romantic composers, particularly pianists. I love rock, metal, and classical music, but I ironically tend to hate most of the offerings from each of those genres.

I wasn't really talking about obscurity but the number of albums people are posting. I just think for a thread about "perfect albums" it's just a little much. It just seems like people are posting albums they like and not ones they really think are perfect.

Maybe so.

If you like indie music, other stuff I posted, etc. I'll be fine

I was going to say, you haven't done me wrong with the movies you've recommend/praised. I listened to the first few tracks at the gym, pretty good.

Pink Floyd-Wish You Were Here

Oasis-Definitely Maybe

The Beatles-Abbey Road

Jeff Buckley-Grace

James Brown - Live at the Apollo

Beatles - Rubber Soul

Rolling Stones - Let it Bleed, Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main Street (the greatest three album sequence in history)

The Clash - London Calling

I'll come up with a couple of more recent ones after some coffee.

I just don't get indie rock. I listened to that Neutral Milk Hotel album and one or two songs were ok but mostly it sounded like some whiney guy and some pretty generic acoustic chords with some horns in the background.

yeah, I'm with you. i never got the fascination with them. even my fav by them, holland 1945, I would classify as good but not great. hope I don't lose my street cred in saying that

Maybe I missed it but I can't believe I haven't seen anyone put Lateralus. As many tool fans as this site has....

I've seen Undertow (worthy), Ænima (worthy), and 10,000 days (good, but not perfect). Tool has 3 perfect albums and of their perfect albums, Lateralus is the most perfect.
