Now we can wait for Cory returning with yet another baby mama to talk about. The guy is a loser.
Did you know Cory has a daughter and he's trying to win for her?
Bahahahaha. Do you not understand how promotion and marketing works? Did you not see how unbelievably fake Cory appreared all season? Playing for his daughter was nothing but playing for the cameras and promoting his new show/MTV career.

I’m so happy I didn’t see that but it’s not the first time he’s done that in a Challenge thread.

The only final Nelson would have had a chance in with no swimming. Oh wait...math
Posted on 7/15/20 at 10:25 pm to Sweaters
Nelson earned some respect in my book this year but the challenges have gotten strange. I think quite a few lower hanging fruit could’ve won this challenge along with any of the vets.
The cast get paid to be there....and quite a few of the older vets appear to just show up and pick up cash to bump ratings and head out early.
I can’t believe Nelson is a big rating/ highly paid cast member so I lean to him actually trying to be a good friend and gave up his chance to win money. But there is no doubt, MTV’s audible after the Dee overreaction was to play up Cory’s kid and next show.
Hell at this point I don’t know why Big Easy doesn’t come back. He might actually have a chance now that the old politics seem to be gone.

Big Easy would die in these finals
War of the Worlds 1 was definitely the toughest but that guy wouldn’t survive any of the modern finals.

Bayleigh taking the bitch way out with a fake injury is even worse than someone straight up quitting.
Melissa in hindsight being pregnant was crazy. No wonder she wasn't "fit" she was retaining so much weight.
Figured she wouldn't make it a half day. I was wrong.

How many if us predicted Fessy would totally burn out in the final?
It was so obvious.
I also find it so ironic and glorious that mtv probably made a male and female winner this year because they probably thought it was sexist to have just one overall winner... Then a chick wins...
It's almost guaranteed everyone will come after John again next season. They gave him an inch and he killed them. He's just too good in finals for them to take a chance again.
This was not the hardest final. War of the Worlds I was easily the worst. There were even a couple old ones where they never got sleep. There was a snow one where CT burnt out on a mountain and they had to jump in freezing water then get in a van.
Maybe this win will spur John on for a few more challenges. He and Wes working together is fun.

There are only four women who could have ever competed with Jenny, and three of them are never coming back (Evelyn, Emily, and Cooke). The other is at least somewhat mentally unstable and seems checked out (Laurel).
Actually maybe Ninja has a chance, as well
Rachel from back in the day was a big strong girl, too. But those are the only ones. Tori actually beat her in an elimination though, so she has to be in the conversation as well.
Kaycee is top tier as well, but if she can't do math, she's screwed.
Ninja can't hold a candle to Jenny. Emily, Evelyn and Cooke would also beat her. She just doesnt have the size, strength or tenacity to go against them in a final and win.

Did anybody else think the pacing of that episode was off? The first leg seemed like there’s no way they’d fit the entire final in one episode and then they were like “oh shite we gotta fit the second day into 10 minutes”.
That final was brutal but the lack of check points kinda sucked. And no crazy food eating?!
Fessy got fricked. Finished 2nd on day one and had to start day two last after spending the night outside. Didn’t get any chance to use his strength the entire final. But the fact that he let Kyle blow by him takes out any argument he could have (Corey too)
The other girls better find some controversial Jenny tweets because they aren’t beating her

Not surprised Bananas won but I'm shocked Kyle got 2nd. Jenny is going to dominate for years IMO. Nelson and Cory will never win anything just like Leroy. Would've liked to see Wes in that final but doubt he would've won. Bayleigh sucks and should never be on again. I think the final that Turbo won was harder than this season's.

Cara did, but I feel like that one was more puzzles.
that one was sooooo fricking stupid. zach absolutely smoked her but then the first male and first female started at the same time on the final part which was just a puzzle. complete and utter bullshite.
related, but not the same, i fricking hate the second day 1 minute leads. wes and kenny got completely boned by that on one of the rivals seasons. i don't know what the separation between these guys was but why not just have them start day 2 in the exact amount of time they were behind on day 1? it's always like one fricking minute. so annoying.

I prefer the finals where they have like 10 checkpoints and they have to either stand in place all night or face some sort of penalty for sleeping.
Pretty sure Bananas said that Rivals 1 is the hardest he’s done.

In all honesty that final seemed extremely easy.

The cold would suck, the altitude would suck, but it wasn't a complete ball-buster of a final for sure.

The wife and I watched Bananas on celebrity "Worst Cooks in America" back in May/June and Bananas introduced himself as a "seven time...excuse me, six time Challenge champion".
We took that as he won this season but it hadn't aired yet. Didn't want to point it out in here so as to potentially not spoil anything

We watched that as well and I completely missed that. I probably wouldn't have put it together, but that's funny.

I will say he’s very good at what he does. We joke and rib him for being a professional reality TV star, but he knows his role. I read an interview with him from last month that confirmed this. He essentially said his real life personality is boring and it wouldn’t make the cut for the shows, so he’s learned to adapt and always be in the mix of controversy and drama while also being a great competitor.
This is common sense, as that’s why many of the duds get casted once and never again, but it was interesting for him to be that open about it

It’s just, I know when I’m on TV, I know how to make friction. And that’s what makes good television. Friction. And I know how to go against the grain and how to be a thorn in people’s side and how to get under people’s skin.
I just really up the ante when I’m on television. And people always say, they’re like, “Oh my God, you’re such an arse.” And it’s like, “Listen. If I went on and I was the person I am at home, I’d never be cast for the show again. OK?” So I know what makes good television. I know I’ve perfected over the years what makes good TV, what people want to see, how to start a fire, how to keep a fire burning.

Um, that's what assholes say to make excuses for their behavior. I never understood the whole "treat people like shite because it makes for good tv" stuff.
By the way, I didn't know it was some rule or something that you can't talk about realizing people are insane before other people do. Apparently that's like the worst thing to talk about on a Challenge thread.
