From what I've read about the lawsuit, Viacom never denied it occurred, but that Tonya didn't try avoid the "injury" i.e. implied consent.
Why settle if they did have footage proving otherwise?
Susie M had always contended that nothing happened, but she was the probably the person who treated Tonya the worst. Sarah Rice allegedly took pictures of the incident and was deposed because of it. So the two other people there aren't exactly neutral in the situation.

Laurel makes for good TV, but she does come off as a complete a-hole sometimes, especially toward Cara. Now, Cara is her very own version of annoying as frick sometimes too, but man Laurel just seems like an arrogant bitch sometimes.
By the way, I watched part 2 of the reunion last night. If you haven't watched it, I'd say you can skip it. It was relatively boring outside of maybe a couple of issues that lasted several minutes. At one point, they spent like 5+ minutes on Tori and Cara being friends now and Cara gave her a gift that was a pillow that told Tori she was not unblocked from social media, and Tori was freaking the frick out about it and almost in tears. So.....yeah.

I liked Cara early on but her presence in the Vendettas "trilogy" has been annoying as frick.

as an aside....Paramount Plus needs to make adjustments to their episode preview functionality. I'll finish an old episode of the challange and it'll go back to the show menu, but automatically start playing a preview clip for the next episode. It wouldn't be a problem except for the fact that the preview always immediately jumps in to a pivotal moment in the episode where they spoil who won a challenge or who is going into elimination.

Is there a separate thread for All Stars 5: Rivals? If so, I couldn’t find it.
Otherwise we can discuss it here.
I’m all caught up on season 40 and the reunions. Jordan is truly dominant and undoubtedly the best competitor in finals in the show’s history.
This doesn’t necessarily make him the best ever (mediocre social game and not quite the elimination threat CT is due to lack of physicality), but he may also be the best outright.
Otherwise we can discuss it here.

And they are really stretching the definition of "All Stars" now.

By having pairs, it really diminishes the pool of competitive players.
Frank and Ashely M could have won the season in an individual format. Same with Jonna. Instead they are all non-factors because they’ve got awful partners.
Ashley K and Kelly Anne are also in that boat to a lesser extent.
Other than Leroy & Devin, Adam & Steve, Fessy & Amber B, and maybe Nany & Turbo, I don’t see how anyone else can win.
And I don’t see how anyone can consider Dayvonne, Dario, other Cory, or Sam all stars. Veronica is also completely useless at this point.

Veronica might be fatter than Aneesa at this point. Having 50 year old Beth, who was never good in her prime, is bad casting too. Also half the cast is gay. These are obviously not that A players from the main Challenge shows.

The cast this season is awful. I also agree that a lot of the people on this season are not what I would consider all stars. I mean Beth? Sam? Poor Veronica looks ridiculous. Plus there was virtually no break between this and season 40. It's just too much. Rant over.

If neither of them get a win this season they just need to let it go. And I wish someone would be honest with Nany and tell her she really needs to get her teeth redone. She can barely close her mouth.

I assume they cast Beth because she was ripe for drama and entertainment back in the day. The problem is now she's old and doesn't give a frick so instead of being entertaining drama, she gets in her feelings and quits the show super early.

Leroy double crossed Devin few seasons ago. Great team up for then. Fessy/Amber is also a strong duo. Frank is hamstrung with Sam. Wish Sarah, Evie, or Camillianator would come back. Such good competitors.
