Another hour next week

Not a great episode. And I agree that Tyrell sounded and looked different.

I suppose that is how elliot perceives and sees him
Im assuming that address in the last episode is where Tyrell killed the CTO's wife. i guess tyrell's body is there?
The whole bit with angela and the little girl that resembled her was crap. I assumed it was the dark army that had her, but whiterose should have just talked to her instead of that crap before.
If anything it made me think angela was starting to see herself as a child again.
Dom needs to get laid

I think they've gone a bit overboard with the whole "unreliable narrator" idea, and confusing the viewer into not knowing what is real and what isn't. They've pushed it so far that it's turned some folks off to the show.

Yeah and I can't blame some viewers for that

I'm surprised they haven't used Pink Floyd's Comfortably numb yet on Mr. Robot so far. Probably due to insane licensing rights but it plays perfect to the over arching storyline of Mr. Robot.

Loved the Back to the Future songs played in this episode.

I enjoyed the episode. Saw most of you were let down. Gotta take it with a grain of salt. They can't be too exciting right before the ending. This isn't Game of Thrones with 10 story lines and 100 supporting characters.
Keep in mind we still don't know a lot about what happened during the 5/9 attacks. I think next week is half flashback to 5/9 and half explaining phase 2. Angela was ready to turn, but whiterose pulled her back.
Somehow the dark army is responsible for Elliot and Angela's parents dying. I want to know more about this. It was all for the greater good. Whiterose couldn't have known Elliot would grow up to be a super hacker like he is. There is a lot to this that we just don't know yet.
Can't wait for next week. This season has really come together. The first few episodes were rocky, but season 1 had a similar feel with the drug dealer episodes. They know what they are doing. It would be hard to lose me as a viewer on this show.

There is definitely a lot of treating people like computers and being able to program them. I think we will see more of this explained next week and the direction they are going. Its why the dark army mercenaries "delete their history" by killing themselves. Some matrix type ideas.

I mean yeah, but that's just a well spoken metaphor. It's a drama about hacking. They have to be good with words.
The questions the little girl was asking Angela are interesting. She was almost lead into a daze and was answering them without putting much thought. I wonder what will come of her results.

It's a podcast. That's the only place I've heard that/your theory.

I've felt this way since the first episode

right but the show has stayed, for the most part, very grounded in reality. If they branch too far off into science fiction ideas in this world, it might be too much.

So im assuming before Elliot's dad died, the dark army programmed his brain into Elliot's?
The same with Angela and her mom?

Yeah the show has completely stayed in reality. Elliot suffers from schizophrenia and we see things from his point of view. That's why he talks to us. That's why he talks to Mr. Robot. Things from his point of view are not realistic, but that is caused by his mental condition.

right so if they start branching into psuedo-science, it might really change the dynamic of the show. im not saying its impossible to pull off and as long as they give really good reasoning and science behind it, it could work. itll just be a departure of where the show has been.

I hope they don't. Game of Thrones did it and it's the only part of the show I'm really not comfortable with. Season 1 was based in reality. Then you have the supernatural stuff with the red priestess in S2 and beyond. That kind of took away from the quality IMO.
