re: Movies you will never watch again

Interstellar comes to mind, as does Gravity. These were pretty compelling watches, but afterwards I just have no desire to see them again.
There are some really bad movies I might rewatch, trying to find what I may have missed... these would be big budget films that flopped. Indiana Jones 4 is one... just want to know why that movie had to be made. SW TLJ might fall into that category, too.
Others are just too bad- I saw the most recent Pirates of the Caribbean movie, and it was painfully bad throughout. I would rather have an infomercial on in the background.
And I might get blasted for this, but The Dark Knight Rises is another one I won't ever watch again. I found that to be just horrible.

Most of the Marvel movies actually save Civil War.

Movies I love but will never watch again:
I think a different thread and if so - a more intriguing one - (a lot of this drek being referenced I didn't watch the first time, to be honest) - so, I'll play:

Departed
Meh - it's rewatchable - mainly for Jack and Marky Mark. The acting is really good, but I get what you're saying. I'm certainly not going to watch it dozens/hundreds of times like other movies by Marty I could name. Similar (not as good as Departed, of course) - Shutter Island? (Liked - really liked it - but never been driven to watch it again - but I'm not saying never.)

There will be Blood
It's a great film. I'm going to watch it again, but I've only seen it once - so, touché.

One of the Gold Standards of your premise.

You're stark raving mad.

Gangs of New York
I get it. For my money, the movie is overrated. I enjoyed it. I get why folks like it. One and done.

Inglorious Basterds
Again, you're stark raving mad.
quote:
Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
I couldn't get through it the first time. Just not my cup of tea.

True Grit
I've seen the original at least a half dozen times. Haven't watched the Coens' yet (I know, I know.)

Coen Brothers, Quentin Tarantino, Scorsese,

not rewatchable to me.
I'm not going to say you're "stark raving mad" again, because the point is made. I get that this is subjective and appreciate your position.
But, Coens? I've seen 3 or 4 of their films 10 times each. All of them at least twice. Tarantino? Pulp Fiction has to be in the 30s by now and RD 6 or 7 times.
Marty? Fuhgetabout it. There is no question that I haven't watched ANY movie more than Goodfellas and Casino except Blade Runner and Pulp Fiction.

appreciate the opinions. even if you're calling me crazy.
i LOVE every one of those movies. all of them.
i am just a super happy cheery guy, none of those movies elicit happiness.
thoughtfulness, contemplation, empathy, sorrow, and redemption? absolutely. happiness? not a chance.
i appreciate art and the feelings at the moment it happens, but have no desire to re-elicit the emotions those movies bring about.

Requiem for a Dream. Good movie, super depressing

Can't see any interest in ever watching this again.
Memento
Never watched it again. Don't really see the point. (and i've rewatched Usual Suspects many times so it's not that angle) - Memento is just a one-off though. Usual Suspects had funny characters despite the reveal.

It's a really intense movie the first time through. I'll admit that a single rewatch has been enough for me.
Kind of like Primer in intensity, although Primer gets a little better once you study the model of time travel they use and you start to pick up on little details. Helps if you're a nerd, too.

You’re an absolute madman if you can watch Requiem for a Dream more than once in your life.
