Not a movie but I would love to see a faithful series adaption of Wheel of Time or if the Tolkien estate would allow a Silmarillion series to be created.

Remake The Firm. Make the wife a hottie like she is in the book. This time make the ending like Grisham intended.

Pandorum (prequal)
Pandorum (sequal)

Supposedly, the stories are already written. No one wants to chance another theater flop. Pandorum didn’t gain attention until home release.

not really hoping, and don't want a remake, but the other night I got to wondering:

How would you make Smokey and the Bandit today?

Where would he have to go and what would he have to pick up?
There are a shite ton more interstates now, and the National Speed limit of 55 mph no longer exists. So the time he has to make the run would have to be shrunk down a bit.

And bootlegging beer is now basically obsolete.
So would he go to say Colorado and get some pot maybe?

And the CB part would have to be reimagined somehow too (no clue how you would do that part).

rest of the story fits just fine with Frog and Smokey.

"Love me some Tom Clancy. I’d love to see a 3 movie “Red Storm Rising” series. Big budget world war movie. Also, would love to see some other of his books that never became movies tried out on screen like Rainbow Six"

...good call. I would add "The Cardinal Of The Kremlin".
After reading the book, it seemed to me like this was the book that would make the best movie.

The Flashman series of books by G.M Fraser.
If you have read any of these books, then you know exactly what I'm talking about. The stories involve a scheming, overly-horny, ne'er-do-well British officer from the 1800s, who is always finds himself accidentally achieving hero status in famous battles and situations from history.
Kind of like a horny Forest Gump.

Leon Uris’ Trinity into a movie - his estate won’t allow it, but it would be awesome

And All the Ugly and Beautiful Things by Bryn Greenwood

Deception Point It’s a book by Dan Brown… it is action packed cover to cover, I read it in a day and a half. I’ve read all of his books, and this one by far would’ve been the best movie.

Agree. I think the Robert Langdon books from Dan Brown are the weakest. Would like to see Deception Point or Digital Fortress into a movie.

Devil In the White City

One of my favorite non-fiction books. Rumors are there has been a script for a long time but has never made it into production. Always pictured Cillian Murphy as HH Holmes.
