Punch Drunk Love.

I went to see this movie practically on accident with no foreknowledge whatsoever. I went to the theater with the intention to watch something else, which happened to be sold out. I didn't have a lot of time, and it was the next movie time available among the other movies.

I didn't know it was a Sandler movie, so when I saw him I thought it was going to be a typical Sandler comedy. I kept saying to myself, WTF! By midway, I was so intrigued that I had accidentally stumbled into this art house movie - STARRING ADAM SANDLER! - that I was sat there in whimsical shock.

Needless to say, I loved it, but I really couldn't believe that I loved it. I went to see it with my wife the following night to make sure!

YES, finally a legit pick.

I didn't have high hopes with Sandler but I should have known better than to doubt PT Anderson.

Legit as in that's the first movie that's been mentioned you actually like?

No. Legit as in "suprised you how good they were." You usually have an idea about what you are getting into before you watch a movie. In Punch Drunk, it was nothing like I expected; and it was really good.

The Blind Side- watched it last night, not nearly as cheesy as I thought it would be.

Slumdog Millionaire- DVR'd it because of critical acclaim but really knew nothing about it, though it was some Bollywood musical. Got bored one day and decided to see what all the fuss was about. Awesome movie.

I was looking at watching that. I'm really getting into documentaries. I think Micheal Bay has just killed me so much with special effects, I'm hitting the other end of the spectrum.

I'll probably get flamed for this but, Josie and the Pussy Cats was quite possible the most entertaining MTV Production after Varsity Blues.

50 First Dates - ended up with a lot more heart than I expected.

benjamin button - actually more of an ignorance on my behalf before heading into the movie, but I really had not been excited to see it. I was also pleasantly surprised at the great job of ending the movie in a believable manner, at least within the context of story.

Spanglish. It had adam sandler, so I didn't expect much, but it was surprisingly sweet and thoughtful

The Pianist. I thought it would be too slow and only watched it accidentally. Great movie.
