Neverending Story was pretty intense as a kid. Themes of the end of the world and general death are pretty heavy for a 6 year old. The gatekeepers. The wolf. Scary stuff.

The Exorcist scared the shite out of me. My grandfather and I were watching the Goofy Movie and he kept randomly turning the channel to the Exorcist... he had impeccable timing too, I caught the head spinning around and everything.

Don't laugh, but Mars Attacks scared the crap out of me.

It was how their ray guns killed people by burning them.

Don't run! We're your friends! Ack! Ack! Bzzzzt!

The Wizard of Oz disturbed the hell out of me when Auntie Em faded from the crystal ball to be replaced by the Wicked Witch cackling away at poor Dorothy. Her voice still gets to me.

Then there was the Trilogy of Terror, Part 3.

Let's Scare Jessica to Death

Poltergeist.

The scene where the guy takes a bite of the chicken leg and it has maggots all over it.

Then he freaks out and runs into the bathroom and starts ripping his face off. Took me years to build up enough courage to watch that scene. Freaked me the hell out.

ETA: crap, I down voted my own post. Meant to click the previous page button.

All these movies are a yes for me, but ill give a TV show. And alot of people like it. The show Dinosaurs in the 90s weirded me out I couldn't watch it. I was used to the land before time dinosaurs not these fricking weird looking fricking things, they gave me nightmares.

Coneheads for that matter too, I was scared to death of it as a kid.
