'it's alive'

it was corny as hell when i revisited it not long ago, but that was one of the first movies that i ever saw with a decent amount of blood/gore, and it kinda freaked me out as a young'un

My mom loves horror movies so I was exposed to them at an early age. We got a VCR sometime in the early 80s and would rent movies every Friday. The ones that scared the sh$t out of me were 10 to Midnight, The Omen, and It's Alive.

I haven't seen some of these- Event Horizon, Tingler, Left Behind. Hope they are on Netflix.

The Ring was pretty creepy as a teen though.

IT was always funny to me, though. "I have a balloon."

But my older brother used to know I was freaked out by the lady from Pet Sematary, and he'd yell out "Rachael!!" in the middle of the night to freak me out

Left Behind was a bad joke on my part. Scariest to me was IT.

Halloween and nothing else comes close. I had nightmares about this scene for months after I watched this movie. I was literally scared to look out of our windows at night in fear that I would see MM's silhouette.
