It took me a long time to accept that Stephen King spelled Pet Sematary wrong on purpose.

The Fly

I was probably 7 or 8 and saw it at a friend's house. I remember the vomit scene, and that shite has scarred me to this day.

The movie Magic... never saw it but the commercials scared the crap out of me. The 1st time home alone without a baby sitter and the stupid Magic commercials with the ventriloquist clown kept coming on all night long.(no cable at that time)

My parents fussed me because when they finally came home at 3am every light in the house was on...

The Fly

I was about to post this. I was very young when i saw it and I still remember having nightmares of him slowly becoming the fly and also of the animal he puts in the chamber. I think it was a baboon

It, that had me scared of clowns for a long time.

Child's Play, I had one of those My Buddy dolls and it looked just like Chucky. After letting us watch that movie as kids, my dad would scare the shite out of us by placing the my buddy doll different places in the house as if it could move on it's own. I eventually had to get rid of that thing

For those that haven't, you should read The Exorcist if you think the movie is freaky.

I still think about that clown doll in Poltergeist when looking under a bed. <chills>

Honorable mention to Amityville Horror and Nightmare on Elm Street.

Critters - specifically when the lady looks out the window and only sees little red eyes

Cujo - at the time I didn't comprehend what was wrong with the dog or the little boy when he became freaky looking

Original Texas chainsaw massacre

For some reason Flatliners always freaked me out. Maybe it was Kevin Bacon's hair.

I never saw the common ones most people saw when they were kids, original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Exorcist, etc..... until I was an adult.

I do remember watching a movie, I think it came out around 85-86, called The Stuff that freaked me the hell out.

It was a spinoff of the Blob but the Stuff was white. Looked like a big thing of mayonnaise or something.
