The Count of Monte Cristo is probably the best book I ever read.

The Movie was an abortion.

American Psycho (book) was sooooo much better than the movie.

And I love the movie.

Brett Easton Ellis is a great writer.

ETA: That said, I think The Rules of Attraction (Movie) may have been better than the book.

Also, I wouldn't say it was better, but The Green Mile was an incredible adaptation, one of the best ever.

I wanted Tom Bombadil to die. Great decision to leave him out of the movies.

Jurassic Park is a far better book. Same with Starship Troopers.

With Starship Troopers, the book and movie have zero similarities beyond the names of characters. I enjoyed the movie, but the book is in another universe.

I'll throw out Children of Men. I thought the movie was much better than the book.
