because there is no way someone has never seen Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Anchorman or Dodgeball. These movies have been on some cable station everyday for the past 10 years.

I know enough about them to know that this isn't true.

so you're going to argue that movies that you have never seen are not solid movies?

He probably thinks Schindler's List is the funniest movie ever made. It isn't. But it could crack the top 10.

Ok tell me what I'm missing re Happy Gilmore:

Idiot hockey player hits the links to make dick and fart jokes plus fight Bob Barker.

Yea, if you like your "comedy" to have forced melodrama at the end of the 2nd act. I fricking hate that about Sandler.

It is Sandler's funniest movie. But trust me, that isn't saying much.

At least now I know you're trolling.

And on the offshoot that you're not, what was the point of this thread? If it was to look cool because you haven't seen these movies, mission not accomplished.

It's funny

Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison are the only Sandler movies I find truly funny. Yes, they are quite dumb, but they are also endlessly quotable and hold up very well with repeated viewings, which is how all comedies should be judged.

hating on good movies you've never seen doesn't make you a better person than anyone else

I wouldn't say they're any dumber than caddyshack or any of Mel brooks movies that are seen as classics. just because it's a seemingly "dumb" movie doesn't mean it can't be good
