The Departed doesn't have a huge cast, but it's a very top heavy cast.

Jack Nicholson
Leonardo Dicaprio
Matt Damon
Markn Wahlburg
Martin Sheen
Alec Baldwin

You could do the Thin Red Line and only count the stars who were left on the editing room floor. But for real

Jim Caviezel
Sean Penn
George Clooney
Elias Costeas
Jared Leto
Nick Nolte
John Cusack
Adrian Brody
John C. Reilly
Woody Harrelson
John Travolta
Thomas Jane
John Savage
Nick Stahl
Tim Blake Nelson

In my mind, this one is always going to win. I love this movie and it blows me away how many of these actors blew up later on. Great, great cast.

I imagine thanks to Marvel building up several of the actors, Avengers: Infinity War will be just as star studded.

How is star power being measured? Lifetime box office take of each actor? Awards for each actor? Or is this subjective on who we think are the best actors?

A lot of star power in the war movie Midway.

A young Erik Estrada as 'Chili Bean' Ramos

meh. Most weren't "star"s at that time. Similar to Saving Private Ryan. Don't know much about other moves. They had far from fully developed talent.

Southland Tales ... not the star power of others mentioned in this thread, and I still don't get the movie, but I do like seeing an ensemble cast made-up of character actors taking risks from time to time.

Crash and Traffic are two movies that immediately come to my mind when I think of modern All-Star casts.

The cast of The Dark Knight Rises was pretty impressive in terms of A-list talent in their primes:

Christian Bale
Michael Caine
Anne Hathaway
Gary Oldman
Joseph Gordon-Levitt
Morgan Freeman
Marion Cotillard
Tom Hardy
Cillian Murphy
Matthew Modine
Liam Neeson (Cameo)

And then you had some decently known talent taking up minor roles...

Juno Temple
Brett Cullen
Aidan Gillen
Josh Pence
Will Estes
Desmond Harrington
Tomas Arana

James Marsden
Omar Sy
Evan Peters
Famke Janssen

I know this is getting no credit because it's a comic book movie, but this list is hard to dispute.
