On a rewatch of entourage and saw the Medellin fiasco unfold, it got me thinking what's the actual worst?

Recent maybe Batman vs Superman? Suicide Squad?

My worst was Indiana Jones Crystal Skull and maybe Alexander.

A fitting topic because I'm watching Leo crawl his way to a global warming Oscar in The Revenant right now.

I guess the movies I listed made money except for maybe Alecander. I'm looking for one that was really hyped and bombed at the box office and as a movie.

Now a days really hyped movies rarely bomb at the box office even if they do suck

I might not call it terrible, but definitely over hyped. Avatar.

Cloud Atlas was the first movie that came to my mind. John Carter is another.

I actually enjoyed john carter, although by definition, I agree it was a "flop". I agree with avatar. Also Hugo. Didn't know what the frick I was watching.

These answers BTW are my personal opinion.

I'm convinced The Dark Tower will fail critically and at the box office.

Lone Ranger

quote:

At one point, the project was even halted due to budgetary concerns. Depp, Hammer, director Gore Verbinski, and producer Jerry Bruckheimer eventually deferred 20% of their salaries to minimize the overall cost. Despite that, the total budget still ended up being an astounding $225 million. The big cost didn’t pay off. In addition to majorly underperforming at the box office, it earned a hugely negative response, with critics labeling it, “a bloated misshapen mess” and “a jumbled botch.”
