Nobody care about Moby Dick, tell him to go back to filming Thor.

You can call it whatever you want, it doesn't mean his acting sucks any less.

O so the show the night before the first stop Adelle's worldwide tour kicks off didn't do well? Shocker.

A year and a day after I posted that I hoped to catch it in a theater, I'm watching on TV.

I loved the book, and Ron Howard has directed some incredible movies, but this is a piece of shite.

Especially when compared to the original story. So sad.

For someone like me who didn't read the book, the movie is quite good. I don't know why you would possibly think it's a piece of shite.

Like others said, it had poor marketing and bad timing. But it was fine as far as acting and production goes.

The dialogue is hokey and stilted as hell,

I cannot imagine two grown arse men, especially uneducated whalers, having the conversations they have.

One time they are on a boat and one fellow says something like, There goes the most noble creature God created on earth. Settle down.

Master and Commander was a commercial flop, too, but a great film, regardless.

One of my favorites.

I watched it Wednesday night. It wasn't good. It was barely entertaining seeing as so many other movies have done adrift at sea so much better. And you could tell Hemsworth couldn't have cared less.

Chris Hemsworth has proven .... he's not much of a box office draw outside of Thor.

And the character is the draw in that one, not the actor. That said, Thor is a perfect character for him to play because his wooden personality is perfect for Hemsworth's wooden acting.

I like actually like Hemsworth, enough so that I bought 'Blackhat' on Blu-ray because it was on sale w/out looking at any reviews or anything and was pretty shocked at how horrible some movies can be

His opinion is basically the consensus view of this film. It certainly didn't stick with me. I watched it and wasn't bored to death. It's an okay movie. That's about it.

So, I saw like 10 minutes of it a week or so ago on HBO. It seemed like the climax where he's chasing 2 bad guys while being chased by other bad guys while running through some weird Tibetan voodoo pilgrimage. Gotta up that drama by having someone run into someone who slightly slows them down during the walking chase? What the hell is going on here?
