Also, I wanted to talk about the episode (Episode 8) of the principal tickling the children and how Holden got the principal suspended.
Not sure if I understand this part.
Was the principal a deviant? Or was it the point of Holden looking to far into his job and maybe taking out people who meant well?

Fincher revealed that season 2 would cover a notorious series of murders in Atlanta from 1979-81, which saw 28 children, teens and adults (all African-American) killed in the Georgian capital. Atlanta native Wayne Williams was tried and convicted for two of the killings.

Yes.

He didn't go gunning for the principal. It was brought to his attention by someone else and he gave his thoughts on the matter.

Awesome. Love that show and interested in seeing where it goes after Holden’s collapse.
Yes. He was exhibiting some really odd behavior that could evolve into worse.
I think the issue was where do you draw the line between potential behavior and waiting to act after something happens? The people making the decision took his opinion with great weight because of his position with the FBI. Is there a certain responsibility that comes with having that kind of power?

Sweet. As with many netflix shows it looks like I'm gonna have to do a rewatch since it's been about a decade between this season the last one.

Very, very great point. The loon that shot up Parkland, there were several warning signs for example.

Doing that now. I've been trying to keep up with if they were doing a 2nd season.
They have to be doing something with all the intros of the BTK killer.
The characters that play Holden and Tench are really, really great actors.

Finished re-watching. The last scene was the BTK killer burning drawings of women tied up in a trash barrel.

Reading about the Atlanta Child Murders. I've never heard of this. WOW!

I read a book by the main character the show is based on. They really had a problem with the Atlanta child murders because they were looking for a white guy, just like they always did, and public opinion that it was race related seeped into their investigation.
Also, a guy who killed 28 kids is strangely unremembered by a society that loves to hear about such devils. Any time I hear someone say that most serial killers are white, I shake my head. In reality, serial killing knows no racial boundaries.
