I’ve wondered that too. Do those other people get brought back even though they weren’t directly killed by Thanos?

or The 4400

lots of shows with the "these people disappeared, then suddenly returned" premise over the years

It definitely wouldn't happen like that in real life. If their property wasn't paid off, the creditors would have repossessed it and sold it off to someone else.

Yes and no. The supply would be enormous now that the earth's population is half of what it was. So yes there would be a problem of where to put them but its not like every house would have been occupied

You wanted him to kill his daughter?
. No. The stones are all powerful. I’m sure they could’ve kept her around.

Yes. i agree. those people didn't snap. However, they died at almost the exact time as the snap. Did they come back too?

If you were dying of cancer and got snapped, do you come back at the same stage? Wouldn’t that be a pisser. Your family gets you back to watch you die...

The dust that constituted their bodies is not still in the sky. They reformed from their dust, which undoubtedly had fallen to the ground. As long as they weren’t over water at the time, then it becomes tricky.

The reality is the writers didn’t put too much thought into re snapping everyone back.

What if they’re reforming right as someone is walking through that exact space? Do they fuse with them? What if it’s on a road? They snap back into oncoming traffic and die. Billions of people all coming back into the world at the same place they left, would cause a lot of deaths and damage

How many dudes got snapped up and then came back to find their wife married to their best friend or one of her coworkers?

Honestly, I don’t see the world ending up any better than Children of Men even after bringing everyone back. Every single person in the world/universe would have major PTSD. Probably about 20% of the world are dating someone else or remarried. Just seeing your siblings and friends have aged far more than you if you were snapped as a child. Then you think of government structures, the fact someone else is now living in your house, all of your finances have been destroyed. The world would still rip itself apart and hundreds of millions if not billions would be killed from the ensuing chaos.

I think that in a few years this will be viewed as readers ended up viewing Crisis on Infinite Earths. It seemed like a good solution at the time, but down the road the flaws will be exposed and it'll lose its luster. Fixing it all with Strange's multiverse saga could just make things worse.

The reason they had to bring everybody back 5 years into the future is because at that point in time Thanos was dead. If they brought everybody back 5 years retro Thanos would know they undid his snap.

But that Thanos now wouldn’t have the Stones and he’s lost his army at that point, so at best Thanos would have to start his empire from scratch, but everyone would be up Thanos’ arse at this point. Plus how’s he going to leave Earth? I’d say Thanos is fricked if you reset it to the moment Thor hit him with Stormbreaker.

A lot of violence would definitely occur.

Surely a lot of people would’ve been snapped away mid sex with their spouses. Now they reappear in bed naked, possibly with their SO in bed with someone else.

Or just you don’t realize the re snap is happening and you see someone appearing in your house so you attack them

Yeah, I’m sure that happened where this guy who now owns the home of someone who vanished 5 years ago shoots another person you’ve never met who is now strangely in your living room.

Pretty sure Hulk snapped them safely into existence as explained by the Russos.

I thought the opposite happened. Like the flag smashers were the returned who didn't get their stuff back.
