Is Orko in the movie?

Spoiler

Spoiler

Spoooiiilleerrrrrr

Big spoiler

He’s at the end for 5 seconds. I was disappointed he wasn’t in it as much because in the show, he was there all the time. He was a pillar. Even in the intro of the cartoon….only three know about Adam’s secret….

The Sorceress, Man-At-Arms, and Orko.

So they detoured from that a little bit and everyone knows in the movie.

If you’ve gotten this far, I took a picture of him at the end if anyone wants to see it. took it to show my older brother because we were knee deep into He-Man growing up.

So fkn fun. What a great nod to my childhood. Loved how they payed homage to the cartoon and kept the politics out of it. Fkn great!

This is all one side ever wants and the other side wants politics shoved into movies.

This was such a fun and great movie that made my childhood so amazing growing up.I don't see how anyone could complain about this movie. My only negative is no gwildor.

I just watched it again and the toxic talk was a bunch of cope. There were some really endearing moments about teaching what it means to be a man, I really feel like this was a throwback.

People are going to have their nitpicks and yes a few youtubers complained about the 3-4 sexual innuendo jokes, but kids would never understand them anyway.

Highly rewatchable and fun movie

I heard one reviewer say they forgot to give Evil Lynn a personality, and she is just ends up being Skeletor's "Yes Man"

True?

He basically threatens and abuses her all movie and she just takes it, and then in the end credit scene...{spoiler below}

she goes back to Greyskull to pick up his skull which seems to foreshadow that she wants to bring him back to life.

Yeah pretty damn disappointing as far as box office. I’m wondering if Amazon doesn’t care that much about the receipts and is willing to spend on the franchise to develop future fans for toys etc?

Because Travis Knight was already talking sequel like 2 weeks ago ( and they already had projections by then). Plus the post credits tell us what is coming in a sequel.

Maybe Bezos really likes MOTU lol

This review coming from someone that was a little old for he-man but did watch it a tad bit as a kid. I went with a huge Masters of the Universe guy.

Some spoilers ahead:

He loved it BUT.. as someone not very familiar with the cartoon it seemed a lot woke with him being a conflict resolution HR guy, offerings Skeletor a chance and talking about what could be causing his anger, trying to talk about his feelings all the time, the constant sexual innuendo and how many times can you make a fisting joke. apparently a lot… funny the first time but eye-rolling after the 5th,6th etc.

I will say this. For fans of the original I think they will absolutely love it. For people not as familiar with the property, I don’t think they will watch it again or watch any sequels. They won’t pick up many new fans with this movie.

Also Evil Lynn was not as hot as I was expecting.

I blame Gen Z's. They would rather go watch some loser youtuber movie than Masters of the Universe or Mortal Kombat. Miss the 80's and 90's

This is a good reason every studio should prioritize media training. (You'd think they would have learned after Snow White)

There was some unnecessary controversy that could have been avoided.

Did it impact the numbers? Probably. No way to know how much.

I got my tickets for tomorrow.

Just saw Backrooms. Wasn't bad. Like if Silent Hill and the Babadook had a baby

Spoiler talk

I would respond to this claim by saying, that is what a classic masculine man would do. We only resort to violence when necessary—and He-Man tells him the time for talking is done and beats the absolute shite out of him since he proved to him he was irredeemable

I agree. I enjoyed the hell out of it. Very much in the vein of GOTG and Thor:Ragnarok. Loud, colorful, and very true in spirit to the source. I know that Jared Leto gets a bad rap, but I thought he did a great job with Skeletor. At times his performance was very reminiscent of Frank Langella's from the 1987 film. Overall, I think that Travis Knight did a very good job with this movie.

This movie is awesome

And I am a toxic heterosexual privileged white male

It’s obvious whoever made this loved the source material
