The whole car getting stuck and aziz taking his picture for the tall boys profile had me rolling.

His mom is so terrible at acting that it makes her funny

I literally just finished watching the last episode, and I have no idea what happened in the last five seconds.

I think she was thinking about the morning she woke up at Dev's after the snowstorm. Basically one last gut check to see if the happiness she experienced with Dev was worth uprooting her entire life to a different continent.

Just finished season 2 and I remember thinking the same thing after finishing season 1: that I love this show and am upset it's over.

Anyone know if it's greenlit for season 3?

Who plays Aunt Joyce in the Thanksgiving episode? IMDB doesn't list her or Denise's mom (Angela Basset). I know she's been in black sitcoms and it's bugging me that I can't think of who she is.

NetFlix has usually been pretty quick to announce their shows a success worthy of an additional season. We'll probably hear something in a week or 2 if it does well.

I liked all the episodes except for the New York I Love You one. I guess people who live in New York loved it though. Lots of LOL moments the rest of the season though.

I read somewhere that since Aziz pulls a lot of the inspiration for the show from his past that he doesn't want to do a third season until he's had more big life experiences.

So while it's going to be popular enough to have more seasons, Aziz might not pull the trigger for a while.

ETA: The quote...

"I don’t know if we’re going to do a season three. I wouldn’t be surprised if I needed a looonng break before I could come back to it [...] I’ve got to become a different guy before I write a third season, is my personal thought, I’ve got to get married or have a kid or something. I don’t have anything else to say about being a young guy being single in New York eating food around town all the time."

She has been in a ton of things, but I recognize her most from curb she is the prostitute he takes to the dodger game so he can use the carpool lane and smokes with his dad.

Kim Whitley is her name

I was thinking this too, but this piece on Uproxx changed my mind...

Note the color of their shirts. This is an important detail, because the next episode, the lovely season finale, ends with a similar shot.

Francesca’s also not wearing her engagement ring when, in the episode prior, it was the only thing Dev could look at. There was some speculation online that the final scene of the season was a flashback to the L’Avventura night, but it’s clearly not. Based on the evidence presented, Francesca has broken up with Pino (and Italy), and moved to New York to be with Dev, although with, if the look on her face as the season cuts to black is any indication, some reservations. Is she happy? Is she sad? How much of a flash-forward is this? (The only hint we get is the falling snow outside, which means it could be a day after she was supposed to return to Italy with Pino, or a year.)

I choose the happy ending, and the Red Velvet Underground cupcake. When in (almost) Rome, right? Allora!

That's an interesting write up. I found it interesting that they aren't touching. They aren't cuddling or doing anything to indicate they are in a relationship. It could be something as simple as she and Pino did break up, she went over to Dev's so that they could talk and she ended up staying over. Maybe they were talking as friends. Maybe it was more than that. I think it's interesting how this show always leaves the audience with questions and wanting more. I guess we won't know for another year and a half, though...

There's no doubt that she didn't go back to Italy and stayed with dev. Noticed the engagement ring being gone immediately.

show might be better long term if there isn't another season, or atleast a new season focused on a new protagonist. Hard to rewatch the relationship drama of season 1 and keep it fresh. Aziz has a real talent for these tho. Really knows how to make these situations feel real even though they are doing ridiculously unrealistic romantic things the whole time.

I'm glad they avoided tropes like him backsliding with Rachel and Fran coming to tell him she left her fiancé for him and then gets mad etc etc.

Great show outside of I love New York. Wtf was that.

Also full disclosure I just watched episode 1-10 straight so I'm going to bed now
