How do you have a heist movie where everything goes perfectly for the robbers?

You mean like how it happened in ocean's 11? The "perfect" heist movie, in which the heist group gets away Scott free is a common type of heist movie, and has been so since the removal of the hays code in the late 60s.

Nope. Not at all. Have you watched Ocean's 8?

Margot Robbie is probably one of, like, 5-6 actresses who can pick any role she wants. I sincerely doubt her agent is grinding to get her meetings with directors and writers.

Yeah she’s been cast in like 2-3 major IP/franchises in the last few months as well as singular titles with some of the biggest directors and actors going right now

Looking at her filmography now, since her big break in Wolf of Wallstreet she’s been in over 20 movies since 2015, almost all of which have been major budget and big studio movies, which is an incredible amount of work to get in such a small time frame relative to Hollywood standard. And subsequently booking more work adds to the impressiveness, because we’ve seen other actresses and actors have a real hot streak for 2-3 years and then fade away from the spotlight

Why that other guy said she needs to fire her agent, I have no idea because that makes no sense

Since she's producing will she feel pressure to not make herself a sex object or just the opposite will it be viewed as ok? I won't see the movie I'll just wait for the gifs to hit the web.

Did wolf of wall street make billions? It didn't even make $400M. Doubt she can get more nekkid than that movie.

sure... but i think it's safe to say she's had "too many" misses

obviously she's had/having a fine and very respectable career with some iconic roles but i do think a few different moves and she's a way bigger star

this time sliding studio favorite Margot Robbie into the deck.

There's like an 8-part Netflix miniseries percolating in there somewhere...I mean...raised by a single Mom, Robbie worked as a Carnie as a child, then as a teenager had 3 jobs including working in a bar...then got her first real movie acting roles while just in high school.

She described the experience of being on a film set as "a dream come true". I mean forget Marilyn Monroe, she screams..."I did whatever it took" in this #metoo era.

There's a couch behind this story. Just a meteoric rise...to Hollywood favorite.

Idk. She’s very beautiful, pretty talented, and got started young in the biz.

I mean the Clooney movies are very much PG-13 anyway and I’d expect this to go that route as well. In the first one there’s really only 1 female and despite her being the romantic plot driver of the movie, she isn’t exactly bareing it all out there. It’s about their emotional connection.

It doesn’t really make sense to expect Robbie to go into this and do WoW type sexual stuff or get nude, it’s simply not that kind of movie

Define “way bigger star”.

She’s headlining tentpoles, other major studio films, art house projects, and working with the biggest directors in the world.

I’m not sure what she could be doing that she hasn’t done.

8 was better than 12 though. I just can't get past the awful "You look like Julie Roberts" as the key to their heist bit. Would have worked so much better had they used actresses who actually do look similar. Obviously these two are too young but something like Bryce Dallas Howard pretending to be Jessica Chastain would have turned that plot point into the funny joke they thought they were making instead of it being a movie ruining twist.

anyway, I'd rank them like this

11
13

08

12

Well...can't be any worse than Ocean's 8. That was a truly awful movie. How do you have a heist movie where everything goes perfectly for the robbers?

Is it really a perfect heist when one of your marks discovers your plot and demands to be cut in on the action?
