This. Most of the kids are terrible. I actually don't mind Alex and Hailey, and they play well off each other...but Luke, Manny, and especially the suckfest that is Lilly, they are the absolute worst, and the actors playing them are awful kid actors.
Luke is entertaining every now and then, but the kid playing him stumbles over his words and can barely deliver a line (and yes, I know the kid actor is really smart IRL). I used to not mind Manny when it was "Ha, the kid acts like an adult" here and there, but it's super overblown now and just stupid. And ever since Lilly started getting lines, I want to shoot her in the face.

It's what the chubby ones looked like.
And I remember reading an article about the girl who plays Alex...something like her parents ride her HARD to keep her weight down, and it stresses her out to the point where she can't keep weight off and is getting bigger. Some shite like that.

I don't think Luke is the word character by any means. I just never really found his dialogue/storyline as funny as some of the other characters.
