Variety is a Disney shill btw. So, this is probably just a smoke show to hide how bad it is going.

The article is about how bad it is going at Disney...

I don't think Disney has gained any significant new female following from their radical feminist productions.

I dont think so either. Some of the feminist will say its a great thing then not watch that trash.

The point we are missing in all of this is how funny Wesley Snipes is on the Vampire Counsel in What We Do in the Shadows.

Taking the character out of the discussion, what kinda fricking dipshit downgrades Mahershala Ali to the 4th level lead?

I don't think women naturally gravitate towards any superhero or scifi content. Now, the feminists will claim its all because of sexist conditioning at young age (like playing with barbies and dressing girls in pink), but for as much money as they've sunk into these things, where are the results with the little girls? Why does everyone Rey costume dressup look like a mother forced her daughter/son to wear it.

Reminds me of the little boy dressed like Hillary Clinton...without a doubt forced into it by his overbearing radical feminist mother.

Women gravitate towards more social-centric with more talking and emotionalizing, because women are naturally good and proficient at those things.

Seems there was a Facebook poll which was wildly misread where it claimed women were 50% of the market for comic books. Ever since then, there's been a push to insert, gender swap & promote women as leads, over established male characters, not for equality or justice, but simply to bring in more $$

How's that working out for them?

Former Blade screenwriter Michael Starrbury isn’t buying the recent reports about the Marvel Cinematic Universe reboot’s script.

quote:

Starrbury addressed these reports in a series of posts on X (Formerly Twitter). “I worked on a draft of this before the strike,” he wrote. “Never saw a version where Blade was 4th lead or it was a ‘narrative led by women and filled with life lessons’ but I suppose a lot could have happened since I had anything to do with it. He was in 99% of the scripts I was a part of.” Starrbury added that Blade “was in almost every scene when I was involved. I don’t know what happened but I’ll just say I seriously doubt he was ever the 4th lead in any draft.”

Yup.

Same way they will protest and march about pay equality for the WNBA, but not actually support the league by watching the games....

Indiana Jones was subverted for a female lead. So was Obi Wan Kenobi. Moon Knight, Hawkeye, Dr. Strange, even Miles Morales.

It's current day Disney. They have their not-so-secret-agenda to adhere to when it comes to this stuff.

The track record is plain for all to see. South Park makes a parody of it, then the gig is up.

These industry folks can deny it all they want, it's a moot point.

What's the point in contributing elsewhere? It's all 20-30 replies of the exact same opinion. If I'm in total agreement, I read and absorb. No pt in wasting my time regurgitating the same thing.

South Park kind of bailed them out in the end though. They teetered on the subject, which is unusual for South Park.

But that is what you do in these types of threads. We get it, you enjoy what is being put out there. Most don't hence these threads. Yes, seeing the same threads gets tiresome. So is seeing you, Corinthians, Jay Aye, FK, obsessively defend it.
