The most iconic scene in all of Star Wars? You can’t beat the dialogue Lucas wrote for this all time huge reveal scene

People hate on the prequels way too much.

Yeah, there's a lot of terrible shite such as the dialogue, but there's also a ton of cool shite.

I still have the belief that star wars wouldnt be as big as it is now without those movies. They were major universe builders.

That lightsabre battle is laughably bad. Those Jedi are taken out way too easily.

Always thought that Fisto, Kolar and Tiin were taken out pretty easily. Was a Fisto fan so hated seeing it end like that so quickly.

They were too amazed by the Autistic Corkscrew they had just witnessed, do you blame them?

Those Jedi are taken out way too easily.

I watched a video about this. Apparently, Sideous' scream is some kind of force power that incapacitated the other Jedi (excluding Mace Windu for some reason)

Sounds like some other Star Wars fanatics thought the same and Lucas wrote this into one of the novels/comics as a reason why.

Translation: taking out three Jedi Masters so easily made no sense, so we made up a bunch of shite to explain it.

I actually thought the initial build and tension were solid but the dialouge, the climax, and the action in general were weak as a whole.

Compared to the Vader in Cloud City, let me seize your blaster Han, etc scene I dont think this one holds a candle

I thought that was supposed to be the point.

This thread title makes no sense, the first scene clip you show has Mace acting on behalf of the Senate vs would mean he is opposing the Senate

The reason is Vaapad. Mace was the lone practitioner of this skill. Basically he is able to redirect dark side energy back to its source. The stronger the Sith and the harder he tries, Mace essentially gets stronger.

With you 100%. The people that lambast the prequels have little to no attention span and can't appreciate the subtlety of the scenes explaining the political and governmental motives behind the rise of the Empire. I thought it was fascinating to see all of those aspects of the "Star Wars." Wars require leaders that start them.

The Jar Jar Binks stuff is annoying, sure, but Star Wars has always had some infinitesimal elements to cater to children - bc children make up a large sect of the audience.

Hayden wasn't the best actor, but at least we got to look at Natalie Portman for a lot of his scenes.

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the prequels on the whole when I rewatched them about a year ago.
