Bingo. I do give Top Gun a pass because it inspired action movies to go big blockbuster style. Movies like Independence Day. It's on the fringe, but has an argument. Top Gun isn't a war movie, it's not about a war at all.
Like Jurassic Park is somewhere in the disaster/sci fi movie. The movie is not about the action. It's all about AVOIDING action. It has more in common with the Towering Inferno than it does Die Hard.
There's an argument for Raiders. But Terminator, Jurassic Park, Gladiator, SPR - not Action Movies. Top Gun and Raiders on the fringe with an argument.

Still sticking to my first assessment before voting that the Final Four should be:
Predator
Aliens
T2
Die Hard
But Predator and Aliens will be matched up too early... I mean, it's so hard to vote against testosterone over-the-top Predator as the purest action flick in this tournament.
But soft spot for Aliens...That's gonna be the hardest vote next round.
They always talk about reseeding in the NCAA tournament after the second round.
Can you reseed based on votes?
