Disney is really pushing it with the gay stuff. First the spa guy in Frozen

Oaken (spa guy) has a wife and kids in all the Frozen books. So you are literally looking to be mad about a hidden agenda on that one

Thought the animation was beautiful, but wasn't all that impressed with the story.

Meh it’s a simple story about friendship. Is it as complex and “deep” as a lot of Pixar movies are? No. But it didn’t really need to be. Sometimes a fun little summer movie is just a fun little summer movie. You don’t need to get all emotional to enjoy a good movie. Glad Pixar learned that.

I’m about 30 minutes in. It’s charming. They just swam over to the town.

I talked to two separate people who saw it, a guy and a girl. The guy said he was sobbing at the end. The girl said she liked it but she didn’t cry. They both told me there’s a big twist coming, which kind of pissed me off even though they didn’t tell me what it was. Like if somebody would’ve told me before hand about the twist in Coco, I would’ve been furious. So I’m a little mad like I said

A soft 5.5/10 for me. Not Pixar’s best.

I never really gave a shite about any of the characters. In Disney’s last offering, Raya and the last Dragon, I didn’t really give a shite about any of the characters there either, but that movie was way better

There's a lot of people trying to make that connection, but I don't believe that was the intention.

It is referencing anyone who is different, not accepted, attacked for who they are. That could be any group. And it’s an old tale of not judging a book by its cover (Beauty and the Beast anyone?)

Luca and Soul and even Onward to an extent are very bland movies even if they’re originals. I wouldn’t call them bad by any stretch, but they’re not memorable at all.

The director said that this was not the intention, and the characters are not gay. If a gay person wants to use the story as a comparison to their experience of coming out and being accepted, that's fine, but Luca is as gay of a movie as Sandlot.

There was a twist in Luca? Defining a twist as a shocking fact that people learn that differs from something people think they know, all I can think of in Luca is at the end when the two old women reveal themselves.

Luca showing himself as a shitty friend who puts the pussy on the pedestal when his friend reveals himself is not a twist. It's just a reveal that he's a shitty friend.

Yeah, that's the only remote twist that I can think of. I don't think I'd even mention this to someone because it's kind of a throwaway moment.
